The perfect card for the Knight side, perfectly avoiding the wrath of the dragon's but still set back by ghostfire.

I hope this becomes standard legal again! Just imagine the possibilities if this and White Knight were ever both legal at the same time!

It's somewhat amusing how, as far as I can tell, the first strike is completely irrelevant in the Duel Decks matchup. Only situation I could think of is a multi-block or a buff when blocking the *** artifact dragon.

New art is somewhere between 75 and 76 times more amazing than the old one. Good think i spent so much time getting my hands on a playset of legions silver knights! ...rashingfrashinggrashing... (that was frustrated muttering btw)
Seriously, how am i gonna get a playset of these. Old art was terrible.

I think it's possible that Silver Knight would have been better to just keep its old artwork in the new frame. The artwork is the only point you can possibly have a quibble about. The card is fantastic and the Duel Deck's flavor text quote against Dragons is strictly better.
So, about the art: White Knight, Black Knight, and Blood Knight all nearly over-do it on matching the tones of the cards' art to the name of the card. This Silver Knight has Silver...but also other colors, and it's those other colors that are distracting me a bit and making it harder to tell the difference between him and White Knight than I would have liked.
To be perfectly honest, I want them to make a Blue Knight and a Green Knight, and I want them to do it with overdosed solid color schemes, so that I can make a deck that's exactly like the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: costumes look almost stupid, but you can't get away with telling them so cuz they'll kick your ass.
Gold Knight would be a 3/3 first strike for and protection from everything. cuz the Sixth Ranger is always broken in half. xD

The only thing I don't like about this card is the favour text. Hes not going to kill any dragons (Not even Dragon Whelp) by himself at just 2 power.
That said, good card and great art, 4.5/5

I'm very happy to see this art finally get updated. Now Silver Knight won't look ridiculous next to my modern versions of White Knight, Black Knight, and even Blood Knight.

but but what good is a white knight if it dies to doom blade?

The irony of his flavor text is that 99% of dragons just fly right over him.

There are 112 cards carrying the "Dragon" subtype. Of those, there are 8 with a basic toughness of less than 2. Of those, 5 have flying by default. Of the 3 remaining, Dragon Egg spawns a 2/2 flying dragon upon dying, Hellkite Hatchling turns into a 3/3 trampler if you sac something for it, and Tek can get +2/+2, flying, trample, and first strike depending on what lands you've got in play. So, of the 112 Dragon subtype card, the Silver Knight may be able to kill off three of them, and more likely just one, which will then spawn a 2/2 flying creature that he can't reach. 30 of them do are not red, and all of them are capable of eating him. So for all his tough-guy dragon-slayer flavour text, he's really not all that much for hunting dragons.
That said, WW is solid for a 2/2 first-striker in my book, with colour protection as a bonus. It's also great art, and I like the flavour text, despite how ill-fitting it may be.
