So, this replaces Black Knight. Yep, thats a trade up. Also, amazing art is amazing.

I really love the art and flavor text for this guy. I'm not sure if he's better than black knight, though I imagine it'll be strong in limite.

Can't wait to get one of these for my mono-black deck in standard format. Also should be good in all other formats as well.

I'm really happy that they made Knight of Glory and this guy 1 and White/Black, respectively.
It really makes White/Black Exalted a lot smoother, considering how specific mana curves are with it.

IMO I'd rather have a Black Knight. In Exalted I'd rather have Knight of Glory. Prot B prevents Murder, Doom Blade, Go for the Throat, Black Sun's Zenith, Mutilate, and a host of other "destroy" spells. Against the mirror it provides a kind of partial evasion and if mono-black control becomes a thing, Knight of Glory makes mono-white Exalted become a potentially scary answer to mono-black control.

In this case prot W doesn't do enough on its own to make it worth it but First Strike is useful against all colors and it makes the creature an excellent buff target.

@alphagprime

Protection from Black will not save a creature from Black Sun's Zenith.

Apart from that I do like both parts of the Knight duo as they both have things going for them.

Flavor text combos well with Knight of Glory.

Have yet to play with this card, so I won't rate or comment on it.

I very much want to play both this and his brother in Kaalia of the Vast. Exalted is certainly nice, and being more splashable than the older knights is good too :)

Wrong. Protection from black means it can't be damaged, enchanted/equipped, blocked, or targeted by anything black. Black Sun's Zenith and Mutilate don't do any of those things, so Knight of Glory dies to them just as easily as anything else with 1 toughness.

A super powerful knight who does not have to worry about any white removal.

This card has never disappointed; a house even beyond limited play. 4.5/5

It's surprising just how many decks rely on white heavily enough that this dominates them. I use it to exalt flying lifegain creatures like Daggerdome Imp and Vampire Nighthawk.

My wife uses, almost exclusively, the White Deck. are there any ways, at all, that she can defend against it?

With all the NWO and rules updates, Protection feels like the last piece of clunky old Magic hanging on to new cards. It confuses all but the most experienced players and frustrates the hell out of anyone who happens to get randomly hosed by it.
Please WotC, make an updated form of protection that isn't as much of a jerk! I am actually taking this out of one of my casual decks despite the wicked art and synergy, because it's feel bad when one of my junior Magic friends simply can't do -anything- to fight it.

A nice cheap exalted trigger with protection is more than welcome in one of my decks.
