Hilarious for casual multiplayer games especially if you know the game is going to go on for a while. Obviously this card has no place in serious play, but it has it's hilarity in casual with friends.

It's even more hilarious in EDH. Too expensive for serious play.
Would Eldrazi Monument protect your creatures from Decree of Annhilation?

This is the most thorough mass destruction card in the game. Enchantments and (now) Planeswalkers survive it, but aside from that, there's absolutely no way to survive this without temporary exile effects. Some fun could be had with this and suspend cards, Admonition Angel, Journey to Nowhere, and Oblivion Ring. Hmm... That'd be a really interesting casual deck. A Boros nuke deck, if you will.

Not the ultimate destruction card, since planeswalkers and enchantments survive, but nice that it also exile everything from graveyards.

Duddits: No. This hits everything, regardless of protection or indestructability, as it is a sweeping exile.

once had a deck that used Jhoira of the Ghitu to suspend Eye of the Storm and this... stick a few token makers, some drawing, maybe some land search, and everything else being 1 drop spells. It took about one game before everyone started beating me up before it could go off.

With R&D's Secret Lair, you can do what farewell to arms couldn't; remove hands from the game.
I would love to see this receive errata that allows it to exile Planeswalkers. Make it the most absolutely fantastic red mass destruction spell ever.

In some way, a more expensive Apocalypse. It is still very good. Exiles opponent's hands, and graveyards. A real " kill em all, and let god sort it all out" kind of card.

Guys, Oblivion Ring doesn't change a thing as this doesn't touch enchantments, so whatever your ring'd doesn't come back. Same with Journey to Nowhere.

One of the best combos with this card:
Tawnos's Coffin + any Eldrazi or anything else with annihilator
Oblivion Ring doesn't work here, but creatures with Champion do. Combo with a Changeling Berserker and as long as you exiled a decent creature, you've pretty much won the game.

Played against a friend of mine a lot with this in his Jhoira of the Ghitu EDH; suffice to say hilarity ensues when it gets suspended in a 4+ player game and everyone goes mad for four turns. However, he usually got the last laugh when It That Betrays got suspended straight afterwards.

Decree of Annihilation: (2red):
Restart the game. Break the game in anyway you wish.
Cycling (2red): Stop the game for about 10 turns. Sort of harder the break here.
PS: I can't get coloured mana symbols to work. Sorry.

@DarthParallax Not to be contradictory, but Red does have a way to eliminate enchantments and planeswalkers: Apocalypse, and is getting another with the upcoming Worldfire (tough you couldn't have known about that in May.)

This is probably going to rise in value in foil thanks to Avacyn, Griselbrand and Kaalia. Gentlemen, we have now reached a world where this feels like simply a reasonable sideboard card against horrendously broken stupidly powerful Dumb Shit.
Here's some good reasons to have this in your Commander 'sideboard' (ie your onhand binder of stuff.)
Griselbrand's Journal combo means you have to be able to exile hands (and probably graveyards, because Kaalia is going to be running big dumb creatures and has access to White and Black)
Avacyn + Lich + Worldslayer means you really need to be able exile the whole battlefield before you're overrun.
Enchantment + Planeswalker removal is something Red probably will never have.
Noobs: Worldfire is banned. Too bad you couldn't have known about that in July. I'm not thinking of running this WITH Kaalia- specifically, anyway. I'm thinking of running this in any Commander deck that has Red, because there's some truly broken shit out there and you need a button to destroy EVERYTHING. Apocalypse is...errgh...needs better art. Yeah, I'm one of those guys that cares about art and flavortext and junk. >.>
@iamjustnotCreative Yup. Karona's Shadow appears in all five of the Decrees, as each is depicting a decree made by Karona.

Hmm...Psionic Annihaltaion
"Exile all artifacts, creatures, enchantments, planeswalkers, and lands from the battlefield, all cards from all graveyards, and all cards from all hands."
And now just got more obnoxious to play against!
Seriously, they're no wipe-out cards in and it makes me want to break stuff.

When you absolutely positively must get rid of EVERYTHING
The difference between this and upheaval is that upheaval is readily breakable (mostly because it's in blue), and this isn't. Oh, and this is like, {100} less.

Sorry, red mages, no enchantment removal for you. We suggest you use this to your advantage by running stuff like Curse of the Pierced Heart which will proceed to slowly kill your resourceless opponent.

...All that, but it doesn't remove enchantments? Jeez, you'd think 8RR would be enough. Guys, use Apocalypse instead. The truly fun and balanced red card that removes those pesky enchantments.

The Coffin is removed from play - so after decree of annihilation resolves, your Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre is returned to the battlefield as effectively the only permanent.
Restart the game. Break the game in anyway you wish.

Kaalia of the Vast. Griselbrand. Venser's Journal. Avacyn. Worldslayer. Lich. yeah. (say in exact same voice Iron Man did in Avengers)
