With this card, I exiled as many creatures as I could. You could play off-colour creatures for the deck, excessively expensive cards (or both), and then use something like Hex Parasite. In this set, Progenitus is the best choice.

@Existential Unfortunately, Hex Parasite doesn't work, since suspended cards aren't considered permanents. You do have the right idea, though.

This and Greater Gargadon both getting reprinted is pretty much the greatest.

Making suspend decks relevant again? This set gets a 5/5.

Only 20 votes? This is a great EDH general. Just play big spells and win the game.

How do you pronounce her name?
"Joy" - "Rah" ? "Gee" - "Too" ? (With Gee as in 'Key')

This is what Izzet colors should do, speed up the game with Big risk = Big rewards tactics. Don't think suspending your bomb for four turns is a big risk? Let's break it down.
Even with Ramp, the soonest this lovely lady can come out is turn 2. You won't be able to suspend until turn three due to mana shortage, meaning your bomb won't hit the field until turn 7 or later, giving your opponent around a quarter of their deck to go through to look for an answer to the incoming bomb without any additional card draw, tutors, etc.
Lastly, keep in mind that the suspended bomb can be seen at all times and will not surprise your opponent(s) in any way, shape, or form. God forbid you miss your upkeep trigger with suspend and be forced into leaving a time counter on it.
That said, risk is what makes Magic fun to me, and I love this lass's flavor. 5/5
@Rootkit9208: That's why you suspend an entire hand full of bombs, for 2 colorless apiece. There's somebody in my playgroup who consistently misuses this card, and I'm not about to tell him otherwise. Yeah, Grixis Hellbent is something I want to deal with.

Useful for casting big spells like Sorin's Vengeance. Put 4 copies in a deck, and hope you can get at least two of them suspended over the course of the game.
Btw, this is a killer EDH general to use against someone who plays land destruction. Joke's on them when you're running 38-40 lands but only need 2 to get your stuff out =)

Turn 1 Sol Ring Turn 2 Jhoira Turn 3 Paradox Haze Turn 4 suspend 2 horrible things Turn 5 wait for it... Turn 6 Death!
Jhoira as a Commander is just too much fun to play, even though she's pretty easy to murder and ruin your plans. Best play I've had with her so far in EDH was a Quicksilver Gargantuan and a Pathrazer of Ulamog. Swinging for 16 and Annihilator 6 on turn 6 is just evil. 3:-D

Why are you guys fiddling around with Hex Parasite when Rift Elemental was basically made for this sort of thing?

@Rootkit9208 Turn 1: Island Mana Crypt Tap Mana Crypt Sol Ring Mox Opal Cast Jhoira Suspend Blightsteel Colossus, Obliterate or any other huge bomb.
Requires 3 cards in EDH, but you can also have cards like Lotus Petal, Chrome Mox, Simian Spirit Guide and Rite of Flame to make turn 1 play and suspend easier. I know there's a few more, but the point remains. We also have cards to remove time counters if we want, so even a turn 2 Jhoira can be dropping Blightsteel Colossus + Obliterate before turn 6.

Truly a superb EDH commander! .....unless you're running on a budget. I'm still going to call her Joe-eer-a

Jhoira is easily the most powerful mage in Vintage tournaments, considering that an overwhelming number of wins are accomplished just by handing her something to tinker around with.
