Having to go to the toilet while under the effect of this card is not fun.

After your left or right hand is chosen as a target you can always cut it off, so the target becomes illegal and the enchantment gets countered and goes to the graveyard. (You can do physical actions as a response to spells and abilities).

Me: Tap 3, Farewell to Arms. Right hand. Go.
Opponent: Dammit... Okay. *plays his turn*
Me: Swamp. Tap 3, Farewell to Arms again. *smirk* Play with your feet or lose your hand.

If I have a prosthetic hand, can I unattach it and place it behind my back? Then could I attach a new hand?

Not that I'm willing to cut off a hand for an uncard...
