This will mean anything that stands in your way dies with no scratch an your creatures if you use it with Archetype of Courage is a little expensive but as of now, it was at 2.8. why so much hate? 4/5

If it was 1/4 and cost 5 I'd like it a lot more. It doesn't need to have even 2 power if it has deathtouch.
Additionally, 6-mana spells should win you the game most of the time. This doesn't give your creatures an actual boost unless they're blocked by other creatures. What's stopping your opponent from just letting your attacks through and attacking on your turn while your scary deathtouch creatures are all tapped?

Doesn't directly win the game, but allows for your evasion dudes to get the job done while literally anybody stays behind and holds the fort down.

Certainly the worst Archetype which really hurt my heart. Once i saw Archetype of Courage leaked, i thought it might turn out good. But every Archetype either gives a clear advantage over the opponent, or isnt frighteningly overcosted.

Starting with Mr. Courage, having your creatures have first strike, and specifically stopping your opponent will always give you the edge in battle. For 3cmc for a 2/2, it's a heavy hitter. Definitely helps keep your opponent on the edge of their seat, and stall off some attacks, or helps you leak a few Thraben Valiant or Soldier of the Pantheon sneak in a shot the turn he drops.

Then there's Archetype of Aggression. Three cmc for a 3/2 is decent, nothing to really explode over. Then he gives all of your creatures trample. That's a great card. What more could a guy ask for? Oh, stopping all opponents from having trample? Works great plopping down your lightning elemental the turn after he comes out. Or whatever the kids play with these days.

Archetype of Endurance. 8cmc for a 6/5, not the best in the world. But he protects all of your creatures from targeted spells of your opponent, and makes sure their guys are always open to whatever you decide to drop on them. Not great in a green deck, so his ability that helps you is better than his opponent hindering ability, but better to the point where it is a solid card.

Archetype of Imagination No. No no no. Turn six, everything you have takes to the skies (Not that blue has a hard time with that) But also everything your opponent has falls to the ground. Hopefully they have been keeping you at bay with Reach so far, otherwise their in trouble for the turn. Granted, highly susceptible to Hurricane and the like, but if it makes you fly over them even for the turn, that's the end. It's a permanent Invert the Skies. Just throw a little evasion on him.

Archetype of Finality Were you made with Bow of Nylea in mind? Or maybe death baron? Because that's the only time i truly see you as being functional, and in a color with little ramp, you're three turns too late. At least green can ramp out their archetype, blue can cheat it out (come on, it's blue), and white and red don't have to wait for turn 6. You are tied for second highest cost, tied for lowest power, have the most specific, least handy opponent negation ability, and come out at turn 6, in the color with some of the least token production, and the least weenies. You have disappointed me greatly. Now my girlfriend will be throwing your courageous counterpart in her mono-white human/angel lifegain, and the best thing my mono-black control vampires have gotten is Read the bones, and maybe Erebos, god of the dead if i place him, since Zendikar.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THIS CARD. 1/5

Look, I just don't know if you're RIGHT for my Glissa, the Traitor deck... Stop looking at me like that!

Sooo sounds like some people are underestimating the power of deathtouch. Just think about it people. Do you have any irrelevant 2 or 3 drops still sitting around on turn 6? Yes? Well good, now your opponenet will never send anything bigger your way. Got anything with first strike or trample? Good you've just increase your offensive power dramatically. Got a pinger? Good might as well end the game right now.

This may not be quite as game winning as the blue or white archetype at times, but this is the one archetype that will come down and save your sorry ass when your opponent plays a massive threat that you can't kill. Solid card, will take it reasonably high in limited, i'm sure theres an edh deck with a lot of pingers that would love this.

Notice that she doesn't interdict old-style pseudo-deathtouch (q.v. things like Infernal Medusa and Simic Basilisk). Obviously not germane for Standard, but anywhere else...

This card combined with Archetype of Aggression is just plain broken. What it says is "all creatures you control deal one damage to each creature blocking them and the rest to defending player." Basically Deathtouch+Trample=Supertrample.

You could also combine this with Archetype of Courage if you want to be REALLY evil.

I like deathtouch. The creature is overcosted of course, but Its a fine ability for black to have as an archetype. My gripe with this card is its the only gorgon they added in BotG, after teasing us in Theros that gorgon tribal could become a thing. And it doesn't interact in any meaningful way with any other Gorgon already printed, except that it will survive Hythonia the Cruel.

I think everyone is under-estimating the beauty of this card. Slap some black white together, a little token creation, you have an army of itty-bitties with the ability to scare off anything big. If you want to keep it mono-black, as many people would do with this, you could add in some Crypt Ghast, which makes this card a three drop after you play Crypt Ghast.

I'm only going to give it 4 stars due to the fact that, by itself, it is very much late game.

This card is NOT overcosted. A creature that automatically gives all your creatures deathtouch is totally worth six mana. I'm not trying to be sarcastic. Deathtouch is a REALLY powerful ability. This card basically lets every utility creature you control at least trade with an opponent's creature. That's not even considering trample or first strike.

@Leo...Preliator

Wow, really? Sigh... haters these days... Bow of Nylea only affects attacking creatures. There IS such a thing as blocking, and deathtouch is the most useful when you are blocking. When you are attacking, the ability is simply a form of evasion. Also, the bow is green, so you really are comparing apples and oranges. Death Baron only affects skeletons and zombies, while this affects all of your creatures (not all black decks are monoblack decks, the more you know). I'm sorry if I sound condescending, it's just that your comment was so ignorant. Of course you aren't going to put it in your vampire control deck. Just because this card doesn't fit into that deck doesn't mean it's bad. Also, it's funny how you say that the blue archetype's high CMC is excusable because "blue can cheat it out," even though black is the real color that cheats things out. I can't think of a lot of ways blue has to cheat things out other than Show and Tell (and that doesn't count because if you are using that you might as well just cheat out Emrakul or something).

@SirLibraryEater

What's stopping them is the fact that (hopefully) you're not an idiot. Would you really attack with everything if your opponent could just counterattack an win next turn because of your tapped board? Deathtouch is NOT simply another form of evasion, guys! In fact, it's more useful for blocking than attacking.
