IHATEYOURARTOWrK wrote that if this card was ever reprinted, he would make a "I Hate Visara the Dreadful" game and quit magic. Here it is. xD kinda looks like Kerrigan from SC now

Avatar of Woe, meet Visara. Visara, Woe. I hope you two can get along, all right?
Personally, i think they are both equal. See, Avatar has that Threshold-esque ability which makes it a little bit cheaper when the going gets tough.
Visara has Flying, but the Avatar has Fear. This can be tricky if you're playing against black/artifacts... but then again, it seems like at least 10% of all creatures have flying or reach. (Please don't correct me, i know it's not that percentage)
All-in-all, i think Avatar is better, now that i think of it. However, it isn't legendary... which could also backfire if you have (for some reason) two Visara's.

Repeatable Terminate on legs. You should be afraid.

Just be glad this wasn't the 5th Alara legend in the set. I mean seriously, almost a third of the vault was Alara block... and 2 from Zendikar, which is still in Standard!
As a collector I bought the damn box anyway for $80, so yes, thank you Visara for being in here at least.

I am from Greece. In Greek "visara" means "big boob".

Vigilance doesn't mean that the creature can't tap; it just means that attacking doesn't cause it to tap. Which would make this card even better, since she could attack without tapping, and then also use her ability.

Both this and the old art are very nice, but I think this is better for the current time, with more real-life look while the other has cartoon-ish art. You get the point

Amazing Legendary creature. Beefy flyer that can annihilate any creature without prot black, hexproof, shroud, indestructible, or some kind of self bounce (master transmuter), no questions asked.
Anybody else think they should make a card something like this: Visara's Gaze {B}{B}{B} Instant Destroy target Creature. It can't be regenerated.

No, Visara. Your eyes most definitely are not your strongest feature.
Your strongest feature is about 20cm lower.

Where is her hair coming from???
Ignoring the questionable decision to even wear an extreme queue like that, there is not enough room on the back of her head for five enormous tentacles to come shooting out.
Personally, I'm sad about the {B}{B}{B} in the cost since I have a lot of multicolored EDH decks. However, it makes a lot of sense since that effect is extremely powerful. Guess I'll just have to use Avatar of Woe

What's the problem? I don't have trouble not looking into her eyes.
In limited, the ability isn't quite as good as it looks; the vast majority of the time, you'd rather use her as a 5/5 flier than as removal. That said, this is clearly an insane card, probably the second best of the cycle.
