Todd Lockwood's art style is actually pretty similar to Izzy's.

Well, when you consider that her ability allows an infinite combo to be formed by just having 2 on the battlefield, yes, very awesome indeed.
IMO I prefer Izzy's art because it wasn't as obscured. In this version, the wings block off too much.

@pedrodyl I'm interested in knowing how you plan on keeping that Blightsteel in the graveyard.

@Herpdaderp True. Both Izzy and Lockwood seldom disappoint. As for the card, flavor text is pretty cool, ability is pretty awesome, esp. if you happen to entomb a Blightsteel Colossus the turn before, and the cost is very reasonable @ MyrBattlecube With magic ;). lol nice catch, my bad
Mind Bomb seems like a good way of getting the sphinx into your graveyard.
Mono blue reanimator... wow.

if im not mistaken, sharuum is already very old and fragile in the story of tezzeret novel. 5/5 is not really fragile you know, but maybe 5/5 is her fragile state.....

My favorite Sharuum Combo:
Mindslaver in grave, Master transmuter on battlefield Transmuter out sharuum and put in mind slaver, sac to take turn.
Then... transmuter sharuum to hand and back on battlefield, mindslaver away the rest of the game!

SHROOMS! My favorite EDH general. Graveyard shenanigans are the best! Not to mention she protects combos verrrry well. Like Time sieve and Thopter Assembly. Gotta love takin infinite turns!
My favorite play with her was in a three (remaining) player game. I had soulscoured, but one opponent was playing Omnath, Locus of Mana, and had out a caged sun. I had about 12 mana in artifacts, but in response to the casting, both opponents blew a few up, though not including my unwinding clock, so no player was in any position to make a big play. Eventually, Omnath draws a forest or two and quickly gets out a Primeval Titan, and starts ramping back up again. Luckily enough for me, I finally draw a fifth mana, allowing me to drop a Tezzeret the Seeker grabbing Master Transmuter which let me put out Platinum Angel (as I was sitting at 4 life), then Sharuum who had been sitting in my hand since I returned her there earlier in the game. I grabbed Magister Sphinx and swung for lethal.
Those guys don't want to play with me anymore.

Ok, so here's the deal:
I was playing a friend who was experimenting with a Sharuum EDh deck. It was pretty good, since he only played Standard around Scars of Mirrodin, meaning he had a lot of artifacts (he also had this asinine Master Transmuter deck with Blight-... never mind).
So, he was going to attack me, then Mindslaver me. On that turn, he noticed that I had a Damnation in my hand, so unless he had a way to kill Sharuum and get an extra mana to bring her back each turn, I'd at least survive a few more turns.
It all turned grim when I realized that I played No Mercy a few turns ago.
So here's what happened: Sharuum attacks, dealing damage, then getting killed by No Mercy. He'd then Proliferate with Contagion Engine, giving Everflowing Chalice an additional 2 counters (or + mana gained from it). He'd sacrifice Mindslaver, and then replay Sharuum with the extra mana he got accounting for the extra commander cost, so he could return Mindslaver to the field..
I can almost guarantee that you have the bigger creature... Unless they had the same idea and stifled Emrakul. You are on your own, if that's the case.

He got pseudo-infinite turns, winning the game.
So if you want an infinite combo with Sharuum, you'll need Contagion Engine, Mindslaver, and Everflowing Chalice. You'll also need your opponent to play No Mercy (or Donate it if you want).
Added together, that's
With a Stifle of course! :O
Of course, at that point, you might as well just use exhume. (Entomb your Blightsteel Colossus, and then stifle his effect. Next turn, exhume it.)
