This planeswalker is, in my opinion, the least used and the most underestimated. The instant tutor is just sexy. Even if you kill him when you play him, he essentially turns into a 3UU sorcery - search your library for an artifact with cc4 or less and put it into play. AND he's reuseable? Very nice card.

I gave him 5stars because the power to untap artifacts (like Steel Overseer and Everflowing Chalice )in an artifact deck is invaluable. He can tutor for an artifact in your deck AND play it! And finally when his ultimate, the body of all artifacts you control becomes 5/5 in addition to +1/+1 counters (try that with Pentavus).

I prefer the original art... Alot... Disapointed he wasn't in SoM but he'll undoubtedly show up later in the block. Until then, screw standard, I'm going extended to keep this and Master T in my deck. ( did they really think kuldotha forge master could replace master T!? )

Bought a foil one of these today, the price was waaaay down due to it not being legal in Standard anymore. I finally got revenge on my brother by pulling out my elusive Prototype Portal with a Sharding Sphinx in hand. His +1 ability also works especially well with any mana-giving Myrs for added loyalty and double the Myr mana.

the best part about this card is if you play with the older artifact lands he becomes a mana engine for blue. use his search ability to find all your artifact lands. then once you found them all just use his untap ability to make more mana. i plan on adding him to my edh deck with all the old artifact lands. (in my colors anyways).
A blue-black version of him is going to be printed in Mirrodin Besieged... dammit, i was hoping for a green planeswalker.

This review is for the Tezzeret deck from Elspeth v. Tezzeret as a whole, b/c there is nowhere to rate this bombastically powerful preconstructed deck: Wow Wizards, just wow. I picked up the EvT duel deck a while back but hadn't played with them until this past weekend. The Tezzeret deck is just sick, it's a disgustingly powerful casual deck. The combination of everflowing chalice and contagion clasp is just absurd, and with Tezz on the board it's really easy to proliferate twice per turn b/c that chalice is going to be over 4 counters in no time, essentially making the clasp's prolif effect free.
This deck has so many amazing synergistic pieces for it to play with and the best part of it (worst for your opponent) is that it's all in blue so you can dig, dig, dig for everything:
That's 9 diggers in a 60 card deck...and the Tezz is freakin' repeatable! Between the Trinket Mage and the two Everflowing Chalices, by the time you get Tezz out you should probably already have a Chalice. At which point you just tutor for the stupid Contagion Clasp and let the insanity begin! Just alternate turns tutoring for stuff and untapping your Clasp and Chalice and in no time at all (maybe 2-3 turns) you have an extremely well oiled engine pumping out counters and tokens and cards like nobody's business! They really should have given the Elspeth deck an Austere Command or something to level the playing field. (lose the craptastic Rustic Clachan)

i like agent of bolas more for the quick win of his last power if this guy had all artifacts get +5/+5 not become 5/5 i would run him or at least think about it but as it is the other Tezzeret helps me look for my blinkmoth urn and after that i can play a darksteel colossus fast

You are stupid if you use this to look for everflowing chalice. It will enter the battlefield with no counters on it and proliferate only adds another counter of a type thats already there.

Jace gets downrated for hate, Liliana for not appealing to a lot of playstyles.
This guy just seems fair, I guess. He's not devastating, though his tutoring can be nasty, and obviously his top ability is abusable. The mana cost and starting loyalty and top ability all balance out too. Plus, he doesn't draw as much aggro for some reason...

It's one of the best planeswalkers in Vintage. I don't find the ultimate to be all that useful, but the first two abilities do a lot to make various degenerate artifact-based combos even better. I use it in a deck with Magistrate's Scepter, Voltaic Keys, and other artifacts supporting that filth. If I get this guy I almost always pull off the infinite turns.
