@DeathDark: What. Wait. You'd rather have a regenerator than a card that just pops back out of the graveyard? You've never made a sacrifice deck. This is easily the most useful card in mine. It's a lock when combined with Mind Slash or Attrition.

The combo potentials are making me drool... Solid card. Good stand-alone, but awesome in decks that make the most out of the little immortal trooper. 4.5/5

This is a legit contender for "Most Annoying Card to Face in a Draft". Also, if they reprint this again (and I hope they do), it would be funny if the skeleton was of a goblin, perhaps clutching some sort of toy.

This reprint is probably the reason they cut Bloodthrone Vampire. Turbo-sacking him to her was brutal and also felt cheap when you were on the other end of it. Doing the same with Devouring Swarm is not quite so ugly.

One of my favorite new black cards. Hope he sticks around for a loooooong time. As far as combos go, how about Fallen Angel, or Flesh-Eater Imp, and Grave Pact. Nuff said.
Wish they would reprint Soldevi Adnate, or come up with something simialr.

Very nice card. It has good art, excellent flavour and, most importantly, it's an upgrade to the subpar Drudge Skeletons. I approve!

Honestly, I'm not too upset seeing this replace Drudge Skeletons. Great combo potential.

Worked really well with Warstorm Surge in an m12 draft. Every time I used it to chump block, they lost a one drop. Also allowed the skeleton to take out 2 toughness creatures if I had mana open on their turn.

This would work perfectly with minion of leshrac!

So, you just use Eldrazi Temple with this guy and you never have to worry again, right?
Not only a reusable sacrifice and a chump blocker for days, but also fun against mill decks.

Once dead, this guys basically has flash, which is pseudo-haste. Ironic, considering it comes into play tapped. I consider this to be one of the best cards in standard to run with Sword of Feast and Famine.

hi im pretty new to the game and i just have a couple of questions,
1) if i use this cards ability after iv sacraficed it does it also count as "dying" as in after sacraficeing it can i use a card with morbid?
2) can i return this card from the grave at any time or does it have to be on the field before i use its ability??
thanks to anyone who can help :)

I've actually used my only Diabolic Tutor in an EDH game to get this guy early before the rest of my sacrifice cards started to surface.
And I never regretted it. One of my favorite cards.

I'm making a Savra, Queen of the Golgari EDH deck, and i'm trying to decide between this guy and Golgari Thug. They're both really solid, and I cant decide. Help?

@Potther: Whenever a card is phrased like this, it means that card itself, so it works from the graveyard. If you needed two, it would say "return a card named Reassembling Skeleton...".

I'm in doubt: The ability can be used from within the graveyard or need another Reassembly Skeleton on the battlefield the ability to use?

i am a BIG fan of Lord of the Pit (i love it and all is combos) and i use this for fun to pay is upkeepBreeding Pit
It just won't die! The new favorite of sacrificial strategies everywhere. Play with Lifeline and/or Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker, just to prove you can bring the skeleton back for free.

Here's my ridiculous 4 card combo using this card:
Sacrifice the Reassembling Skeleton to Ashnod's Altar, turn the colorless to black with the Initiates of the Ebon Hand, and activate the Reassembling Skeleton to return it to the battlefield. You can do this "an arbitrarily large number" of times and it will trigger the Blood Artist each time, resulting in a game win.

As a sac engine, not as good as gravecrawler. But, as a chump blocker, now that's what I'm talking about.

@BLKND: Don't forget Devouring Strossus, which essentially now has an upkeep cost of {1}{B} and {1}{B}:Regenerate. If that's not value, I don't know what is.

Even better with Death Baron.
Wish they would reprint Soldevi Adnate, or come up with something simialr.
And you can just use his ability whenever, and however many times...
and sacrifice mechanics are fun!
Definitely a new staple for the dark side >:D

this new Reassembling Skeleton is soo perfect
instead of Breeding Pit i love it :D
Have Reassembling Skeleton, Ashnod's Altar, Initiates of the Ebon Hand and Blood Artist on the battlefield.
