There's a card that people have forgotten about that can make this card ridiculous. Just equip this guy with umbral mantle and not only do you by pass his conditions you also make him bigger at the same time.
But, in the right circumstance, Release The Ants is a decent way to untap him.

Pretty good in combination with Earthquake or Inferno. Wipe out your opponents' creatures with either and then attack with this bad boy, booya, massive damage.

Go Type 1 and play it with Cinder giant! It comes into play on turn three and does two damage to each creature you control on your upkeeps; it's a 5/3. Pretty champ.

pariah's shield on this guy just frustrates you'r opponents. effectively stops attacks until they can swarm you. and that takes a while.

Best when used with any spell that goes along the lines, "have 2 creatures deal combat damage to eachother," which I believe they just reprinted a new one in zendikar called predatory urge. You kill enemy creature, untap your creature, and can either attack/block with your 7/7. As mentioned earlier umbral mantle also a good choice, as is honden of infinite rage, blood cultist, prodigal pyromancer, spikeshot goblin, and others.
It would have been nice if it said, doesn't untap your next untap step, instead of never untaps. One valuable way to use it's not untapping con into a pro is with conspire. You can tap the titan, then have anything ping it for 1, and are able to tap it again, allowing you to conspire twice, or once with one other creature and keep it untapped. Such as with the card giant baiting.

Attack him with one of your own tokens, then attack your opponent for 7.

"Attack him with one of your own tokens"- retarded comment of the week right there. Still, this thing is underestimated, as there are so many ways to get around the drawback. Subterranean Spirit or Subterraean Shambler if you don't like pingers.

Does any one realize once he's finally untapped and attacks, if he is blocked he will untap due to taking combat damage? He has vigilance :D

Can buddy up with the Cinder Giant for some tribal bro-hood.
Hey, nice, poisonhats. I didn't see that. Oh, please, SoulShatter. You can't be that stupid.

The easiest way I get this card to work is by having an Embersmith on the field. Get this guy out there then cast Caltrops for 4 to ping him for one. Then he essentially gains vigilance. If you are sticking with a giant tribal, just use an Akoum Boulderfoot or something to ping him (or any other of the previously mentioned combos). Another option is to use Bullwhip (an underrated card imo) to untap and attack with him, or to leave him untapped and use the whip to pull an opponent's creatures to their death. Another easy options is to use a Furystoke Giant (again if going tribal). I use a RG Giant deck (well, warrior to be more accurate) and use Predatory Urge like Donovan_Fabian mentioned and it works amazingly well. If you can afford it, Chain Lightning is another great option, allowing you to untap him, then hit opponent with it. Oh, or, you know, Emerald Charm if you are going RG like me, although it is easy to splash for it.

works very well in a giant giant tribal deck Use cinder giant deal 2 two each creature and untaps him and doesn't kill stinkdriker daredevil
This + Paradise Mantle + Pyrohemia? Clear the board of everything with 6 or less toughness each turn for free. As long as your opponent does less than 7 damage to you each turn (from Titan attacking), you'll be ahead on life too.

I have a casual multiplayer deck where this guy absolutely shines. It's green red, plays both drumhunter and Exuberant Firestoker, and it usually is the first creature out which can activate those secondary abilities. More importantly the deck is based on using creature power to fuel burns - Soul's Fire and Warstorm Surge. Obviously you would build differently for 1v1 or a less open format, but it works wonders for me. Bet you could find space for it in an EDH deck built on similar terms.
This, and Crush Underfoot to make even Lightning Bolt look small (ie: for 7 damage). To be rude, Isochron Scepter Also, there are a number of things that make it easy, or unnecessary to untap anyways. I would love to see a good Giant deck out for a stroll...

How has no one mentioned Nin, the Pain Artist? There's some really great synergy there.

Pyrohemia is better though.
However, without the combo, unless your enemy plays a low-damage board clearer or the like, and you can't deal damage to him in any way, he's useless.
4/5 for the combo potential.
Also- I decided to see if it was possible to ACTUALLY do it! Currently experimenting with Knowledge Pool....
thanks for the idea SoulShatterer! xD
