While I'm sure that Affinity decks don't need another way to beat you down, this guy would definitely go well with, I don't know, Blinkmoth Infusion!!! And as an instant, it could be like a combat trick, oddly enough. Along with the rest of the Affinity crew (Frogmite, Myr Enforcer, Into Thin Air targeting Myr Enforcer, then dropping the Enforcer again), Manaplasm would definitely be fun.

Love this card in my Naya deck. He's an especially good burn target for the enemy, and then I Giant Growth him to make him 5/5, wasting that Scorch Incinerate or Lightning Bolt. Also, very fun with all the Fatties in Naya. Plop down your Godsire with this beast on the field, he becomes a 9/9. Even more fun with large cascade spells. One of my favorites was Enlisted Wurm into a Spellbreaker Behemoth on turn 4. Needless to say my opponent was piiiiiiiiiiiiiiissed to have that 11/11 coming at him turn 4.

I like this card a lot. I've been experimenting with some combos with cascade and how this card combos with Aluren.

Wouldn't this do well with traps, like Needlebite Trap?
I think it would be interesting.

I'm quite tempted to put this bastard into a deck with all the Bringers + Prismatic Omen

Keeping with the theme, having Fist Of Suns in a cascade deck with, say Maelstrom Nexus, Mana Reflection and some nice big fatties looks really fun - 2 1/2 mana to play ANYTHING looks fun o.0

Needs some sort of evasion though... Although I suppose if you stick with the CMC 5 theme, Epic Proportions lets it block things without dying, and you can cheat an extra 1 mana out of it...

@Rustyz: According to the rulings, a Trap's triggered ability does not change its converted cost, so Manaplasm would go VERY well with it.

This card is completely insane with Cascade.
Bloodbraid Elf into Violent Outburst into Colossal Might.
GG.
This card is underestimated, he's an absolute beast.

Tower Above, Allosaurus Rider and Bounty of the Hunt all combo excellently with this Ooze. And that's just mono-green! Get into other colors and you have large Suspend spells, blue's Urza's Saga free spells, the stuff other folks have suggested, all sorts of stuff.

I'd add Vedalken Orrery to deck using this card. Allows you to make it huge both on attack and defense.

Needs trample. Sucks to pump him up a lot only to be blocked by a 1/1 saproling.

I use it as Kavu Predator 5-8 to combo with free spells like Invigorate or Skyshroud Cutter. It lacks trample though, but still a scary card to see on the other side of the table.

I want a card named Dramatic Ward Spell in Magic. Right. Now. Get on it, Wizards.

Anyway, severly underrated card. Insane in cascade.

Judging by the flavor text, wouldn't it make more sense if this triggered whenever ANY player casts a spell?

Fun combo: With a small amount of extra pump (Giant Growth is fine), Blasphemous Act clears the board for him and makes him immense in short order.

There are few things this guy likes more than Sangrite Surge

Favorite plays:
T3 - This guy into:

T4 - Tangle Golem, swing for 8 (you still have a mana open for that Rancor, swing for 11 trample!)

T4 - Tower above; get +10/+10 and kill whatever you want (including a Darksteel!) while trampling huge damage over the opponent.
