Hehe, that was pre Zendikar :D
He could possibly even find some mediocre use in such a deck regarding cards like Vampire Nocturnus, Malakir Bloodwitch or Blade of the Bloodchief. And in case you run a non-Vapire for some reason (Painter's Servant for instance as mentioned before by metalvolence) he could help out including that guy as well.

In general he can also be great in conjunction with "shooters". Plague Spitter should be the most awesome card for this, Thrashing Wumpus will go nuts as well.
Goblin Sharpshooter might also be handy, and some creatures like Ashen Firebeast and Crypt Rats might find use as well (the latter if you can increase their toughness before). Warmonger is funny as well since your opponent won't necessarily like to activate his ability anymore.

now that vamps are a playable tribe I want them to remake this card for 4 or 5 CMC giving all vamps the ability, which was sadly missing in zendikar

Or put it in your Arcbound deck.
Suddenly all your creatures share a creature type, and turn into Arcbound Sliths.
Just good times all round.

Yeah, Triskelion is kind of funny

I use it in a Rat Vampire deck; toss in some Blade of the Bloodchief to make non-vampires get the extra +1/+1.

i'm asuming that this is the vampier controled by the leader of the Mephidross Geth, and so i am confused by its ability. i have so far only read "the Moons of Mirrodin" and sins this was printed as a card in fith dawn you may learn more. but the vamp was saposidly the only vamp in mirrodin, so for it to make all your creatures vampiers seams controdictory flaver-wise imo.

This guy is good for so many different combos, and now that Vampires are the IN creature type for black (thanks a lot Wizards for trying to sell Magic to teenage girls who like Twilight) he has some use for tribal too.

@bijart_dauth :: How is it contradictory since vampires tend to turn non-vampires into vampires. Start with one and eventually there will be more.

He is a double vampire xD (i know it isn't true, but still)

The ability could be quite strong.

Myr Servitor is really awesome.
So is Kalastria Highborn.
So is Phyrexian Altar.

And because of what a kind person said in describing Myr Servitor's ability, assuming you have 3 on the field and one in the graveyard, you'll get 5 sacrifice effects. so, you'd do 10 dmg, get 10 life, and have four myr servitors on the field.

Also, Paradox Haze.

Hey,I'm new at this what does "whenever this creature deals damage to a creature, put +1/+1 counter on this creature" does that mean that the creature that dealt damage to the opp. creature gets 1/1 permanently?

Ahh, I love this card so, so much. Part of it is nostalgia: I got this card in a pack just as I was starting to really get into Magic, and he was a workhorse in my mono-black aggro-control deck. The ability is great, the flavor is excellent, and the illustration is just so, so badass.

Spikeshot Goblin & Spikeshot Elder absolutely love him, and Kilnmouth Dragon is basically a bigger, badder version of them.

Triskelion is the classic, Deathbringer Thoctar is basically the same, but needs help to get the combo started, and Spitting Hydra is a worse version of the same.

Caldera Hellion has very interesting and powerful synergy.

You could make a decent casual black/red pinger deck based around this concept, though it would probably be better to focus it into a combo deck and pick something to work with the Vampire.

seems like it would be a good finisher in an innistrad vampire deck. Your vamps get bigger if they hit and bigger if they are blocked, making your opponent have to make a lose/lose decision.

Might need some support though, as that type of deck doesn't want to engage the opposing creatures until they have grown a bit.

Hm... on second though, maybe not.

I want to try running him with Caterwauling Boggart and Conspiracy. Make all of my creatures into Vampire Elementals/Goblins that can't be blocked by single creatures and get bigger every time they hit...
Goblins would be the prefered Conspiracy type so they all gain haste, and if you add in the Innistrad vamps (especially Rakish Heir) it gets even more ridiculous.

Combos with Malakir Bloodwitch in the graveyard and Liliana Vess's ultimate. In a big enough multi-player gave, this should be able to one-shot everyone all at once.

The flavor of this vamp & Skyshroud Vampire makes me think golgari colors...they seem to be EVOLVED to be how they are now. I would like to see some green bloodsuckers.

I had a really fun Meph+Tim deck it was a pretty solid 3 color deck BlueBlackRed. There are few things more fun then ending up with a bunch of 4/4 (and larger) Tims!

The Triskelion combo gets a lot sillier with Corpsejack Menace or Doubling Season thrown in. Triskelion pings itself or an indestructible creature a thousand or so times, then direct damage to everyone for the win. I hope to get this to work in my EDH deck at some point.
