I don't know if I love the reconceived Mirrodin goblins, style-wise. They look like a bunch of gulper eels. I suppose it does make them a bit more unique...
Art aside, I really like this card. The name reference to Spikeshot Goblin was enough to make me grin, but the referential flavour text is like Vorthosian gold!

I just wish they had made the mana cost 2R instead of 1RR, so I could break this thing with training grounds.

This guy can have some nice damage out put, if you think of the Warchiefs, Quest for the Goblin Lord and some various equipment. T2 Goblin equipment deck here I come!

It's probably coincidence given that one comes from Mirrodin and the other from Future Sight, but I looked back and forth between this and Bloodshot Trainee and wondered if there were other "____shot" tribes of the Mirrodin goblins. (If so, I suspect we're happier not knowing what they shoot.)

Grafted Exoskeleton at the prerelease. The guy drew both cards both games. Hurts ma butt... Past trauma aside, it's a nice addition to RDW that lets it survive longer with better board presence, along with Koth and maybe Molten-Tail Masticore

@nightwalker Gulper Eel Goblins Look Awesome And With Equipments And Chieftains Or Lords Around Hes Absoloutley Fantastic Late Game Your Easily Settin Him Off Twice A Turn
@DoomCanoe, Sword of Feast and Famine only works with combat damage (i.e., what you'd deal if something is attacked and not blocked, or if it tramples over blockers). This is damage from an ability, not from combat.
The Swords will help this guy by increasing his power, but there are more efficient ways to do that, as well as better uses for Swords.

This guy is the surprise finisher in my Infinite Hourglass deck. While most people are expecting another Fling or Soul's Fire, this guy drops and provides his own reusable version of Soul's Fire right away.
Great card. Love the implied plot from the flavor text on him and Spikeshot Goblin.
Given the reference, it would have been severely righteous if the ability had been and he had costed an additional "tap an untapped creature you control" to cast.

With the Zendikar lands rotating out of standard, this card isn't nearly as powerful as it once once. Now, it's a so-so rare. Funny how the addition or subtraction of other cards can make such a big difference to one card.

Love this little guy. Got much better with the release of Innistrad block, he is a hoser with Curse of Stalked Prey and Hunger of the Howlpack, with Increasing Savagery, I had him at a 11/11 turn 4, dropped Curse of Bloodletting turn 5, then shot the guy to the face for 24 on turn 6... Eats control decks if they don't tragic slip him quick enough.
5/5 for utility and end game prowess.

This can take some unexpected chunks of life with Mutagenic Growth. Swing, pump, then activate his ability, from 6 up to 18 damage all at once, depending on how many growths you have.
