Stellar mana fixing card, especially for Limited, this should definitely be rated higher than its current 1.5/5 rating

Easily the best art in the set.

Okay, this set has some stellar art, but this piece is just amazing.

Still the best 2cmc mana filter ever.

Anyone who rates this less than 5 stars, has never played with this card. It's basically cycling for 2 that fixes mana.

If you are playing 3 or more colors at the prerelease then you want this card. The continual investment might seem inferior to Transguild Promenade, but this replaces it's self and doesn't come in to play tapped.

First of all, it's a 2 colorless card draw. Second, it gives you FREE mana fixing. This is a great reprint, definitely will come in handy in Limited.

I always liked this card. One of the best reprints in Gatecrash.

A colorless Abundant Growth, really. Which is good.

I would have been delighted to see this in my pool during the prerelease. Alas, I had only 2 guildgates and 15 basic lands. On the bright side, all of my spells were very splashable, and I even had two hybrid cards. There was a game where I drew nothing but Islands and Plains and was able to stick a Deathcult Rogue with Gift of Orzhova. It did feel weird, playing Dimir as if it were Azorius.

This is actually in terms of virtual card advantage the same as divination.
You Cast (-1 cards)
Get card on board (+1 card)
Draw a card (+1 card)
Total: +1

Divination:
You Cast (-1)
Draw 2 cards (+2)
Total (+1)

Think of this like elvish visionary, but, instead of getting a willow elf, you get mana cylix. This card is boss. Just put it in a deck, geeze. Generally this kind of effect wouldn't be worth a card, but, it's not a card, it's just straight value. In other words, play it in every limited deck, and in commander.

I want to love this card but in a metagame that has chromatic lantern , not that exciting, however it is in the common slot, while the lantern is a rare. Absolute bomb in limited for a common slot, but it just transforms one color mana into another, while the lantern is much better IMHO, however it does have its uses in limited for splashing and fixing.

Most other comments have said most of what needs saying. What I'll add is that I think that this card, when combined with Gates, makes 2 colors do-able in Pauper.

One of the best artifacts ever.
Nets you cards to compensate, is pretty cheap, and transmutes mana.
This is especially good if you're running a Nightveil Specter, anything with Extort, or are short on a color.
I run four of these in my Orzhov deck, as its a good thing to get out early if you get mana screwed, but if you draw one later, it is pretty cheap, and leaves room for extort.

Near perfect. Always an awesome fail safe. I recommend every deck in standard have at least two.

This card is a true star in my artifact bounce deck. With an etherium Sculptor amd an esperzoa in play thats one extra card per turn for only 1 mana and with a master transmuter i return this card, lay in a beast then put it back in for another card. This is a total star.

I like that Wizards is trying to make multicolored decks easier to run for people who don't have the money, trade-bait, or luck to pull Dual/Shock Lands. Plus, card draw is a great advantage for almost every deck, and having it at 2cmc without requiring specific colors is beautiful.

Allowed me to run 4 colors in my block draft. Did so much work with only an investment of 2 mana. I wouldn't pass them up.

This is easily one of the best commons in standard right now.

5/5.

I've certainly considered an artifact combo-deck based around lowering costs with Etherium Sculpter and semblance anvil, then lots of low cost cantrip artifacts. Flicker effects work on this too by the way; so Ghostly Flicker becomes a Cloudshift cantrip when you only need to save 1 guy.

Not sure what the wincon is yet, but if you can tutor almost anything while gaining card advantage there's usually a way to produce easy mana, then you just name the win con of your choice; probably storm.

When I look at this card, I see a Sorcery speed 'Think Once' (if you will) that turns one of my lands into a 5-color land each turn. Although it's clearly less powerful than say Chromatic Lantern, this card could potentially be more useful than the lantern in many cases. Firstly, It's one less mana to cast. While it's not a mana source on its own and it doesn't ramp, unlike Chromatic Lantern, it does replace itself in your hand and thin out your deck. This is a good card if you'd rather fix your mana for the rest of the game rather than spending 3 more mana to Think Twice, or if you'd rather thin down your deck on Turn 2 instead of ramping on Turn 3. I also think it's important to note that unlike Transguild Promenade, Prophetic Prism does not take up your land-drop. Maybe that's a good thing and maybe it's not, depending on the nature of your deck. I'm well aware that the Sorcery speed casting is a pretty considerable drawback as compared to Think Twice, but on the other hand, this might not be as big of a deal in a less responsive deck. Honestly, neither this nor Chromatic Lantern is really seeing a ton of play in Standard right now, so what does that tell you? I still love this card as well as the Lantern. Transguild Promenade, on the other hand, has caused mostly woe.

This little lovely is as if custom made for Burning-Tree Emissary-
Play Burning-Tree Emissary, play another Burning-Tree Emissary, spend the one green mana to tap Prophetic Prism for R, play Ash Zealot, or for B, play Spike Jester, or for W for Boros Charm or Wojek Halberdiers or even Fiendslayer Paladin or Banisher Priest or Boros Reckoner, or maybe it's a Goblin Electromancer you have lurking in your hand...
True, you waited till turn 3, but you just can't do that with Chromatic Lantern and you're waiting to turn 4 and don't get the card draw...
That's pretty awesome.
Plays nice also with Elvish Mystic or Zhur-Taa Druid
