So, now there's 12 one mana elves that produce G, plus Arbor Elf.

That's, like, a fifth of a deck right there, in mana elves.

Llanowar elves 9-12. Some day, I want to be able to build a deck that has more druids than lands.

The reason why the functionally reprinted the Llanowar Elves is so it could be fit into other sets and still fit flavor requirements so look for a reprint in the near future.

Now we get 12 Llanowar Elves!

The en of an era. At least this one is singular.

I quite like seeing functional reprints like this. Llanowar Elves is from a different era and has had a very long and fruitful reign.

I actually prefer the flavor of Arbor Elf and it's ability to combo well with the myriad of land untapping and enchanting abilities in Green.

I prefer functional reprints to actual reprints, nostalgia just isn't as important as extra options. In this case, extra copies.
At least, with useful cards. I wouldn't mind seeing Grizzly Bears come back.

The most I've wanted a card for one of my edh decks in two blocks

I like this. Arbor Elf was kind of cool when you have a shockland, but he was also kind of a whiff when you draw all checklands and/or something non-Forest like Sacred Foundry. This is more consistent.

(Although this doesn't help you cast Boros Reckoner like Avacyn's Pilgrim does. You could try to mitigate this issue with Burning-Tree Emissary, which allows you to cast Reckoner starting with say GGRR...)

Meh, they could have really reprinted Llanowar Elves... Then the players with old cards could use them in new decks. :| **** for the card, but minus ** because it's a stupid renamed version for no reason whatsoever.

Arbor elf, Llanowar elves and now this!

At least I like the art a lot better than Llanowar Elves. I'd say I think they wanted to stay away from referencing as many random places, but then they have Xathrid Necromancer

Llanowar is dead.

Someday I will make a deck that is nothing but mana elves and it will be glorious.

Hmm... I guess they finally printed a 1/1 elf that taps for green that isn't region-specific. Llanowar Elves were so ubiquitous I never really considered that, ha ha.

Nothing new, but a staple in the magic world.

Llanowar Elves VS Elvish Mystic, both Elf Druids, both 1/1's, both cost Green, both have same abilities, the only difference, the names and flavor texts. I know it's giving Tribal Elf decks big opportunities, but make it easier on our part Wizards... Now I'm gonna have to drive to my shop and trade my 4x Llanowar Elves for 4x Elvish Mystics.

I had mixed feelings about this card until I realized that if I want five Llanowar Elves in a deck, I can now have unique art for every single one of them.

Now if only we could get an alternate art reprint for Fyndhorn Elves. . . .

Gee, a 1 CMC green 1/1 elf that taps for green mana! Wherever did WotC get that fabulous idea? I've never seen anything like this before!

Elvish Mystic. Not a mystic.

I feel like it's time for a green card something like this:
Autumn's Harvest Casting cost: 0
Instant
Add G to your mana pool and give target creature +0/+1 until end of turn.
(The flavor is that harvesting is the fun part of growing things and therefore is effortless, and also that this harvest will fortify a creature.)

Any thoughts? I feel as though this is not overpowered. It is balanced because it eats up a card draw spot and isn't a cantrip, yet just powerful enough to cause some devastation with cards like Giant Growth or with mana ramp or with G cost regeneration.

Functional reprints should allow me to keep using my Llanowar Elves in standard...

I prefer almost-but-not-quite-the-same functional reprints like Arbor Elves-- At least there you can have fun thinking of the corner cases where they're different. Truly identical cards like this just feel uncreative.

A fixed Llanowar Elves, at last! With a flavor text by Nissa Revane, no less! When we'll see her again?

While this is just a reprint of Llanowar Elves, in my opinion, the flavour text and art are more memorable. Considering the flavour text is a quote from the queen of elves Nissa Revane herself.

A 1 drop card that makes all the turn 2 combos happen, what more can you say? 5/5 forever.

This card is a decent early-game card, not strong, but it essentially doubles as a forest to aid your mana output when needed.
