Did this really have to come back with a printing in DKA?

Whew! We almost went a whole two sets without seeing this! That would be the greatest injustice Blue mages have ever faced.

STOP IT ALREADY. No one wants this card. Blue deserves better.

Tried this out with Talrand, Sky Summoner. Suddenly excellent. 3 CMC to Draw 2 and a 2/2 flyer.

There is no way this card deserves only two stars.

Drawing cards wins games oftentimes and this card draws cards.

This is currently in three of the four sets in standard. Someone at Wizards really likes this card.

This card is terrible. first of all, it costs 3 mana to draw 2 cards. brainstorm lets you draw 3 cards for just 1 mana. second of all, it is a sorcery. when it comes to card drawing, speed is everything. how can anyone even consider this card playable? brainstorm, think twice, forbidden alchemy, blue sun's zenith, etc. are the best in my opinion.

Solid card! Its sign in blood that's easier to splash without the life loss, but at 3 mana instead. Great card if you don't like running counterspells. I dont think this will see tourney play any time soon, but its a strong card none the less. 3.5/5

Dont stop printing these wizards!!!

I don't think the comparison of this to brainstorm is a good one. Yes brainstorm let's you draw three but you only get to keep one. Good for activating abilities, not good for card advantage. Plus if you're running either a standard or modern deck you can't use brainstorm anyway. Not to mention if you're running a R/U deck and have some electromancers on the field you just got 2 cards for U. Yes it's a sorcery, but I think that's a small drawback. Definitely not a show-stopper, but I think it's a solid card. 3.5/5

This card is a solid 4 star card. If you don't know why, you don't deserve to know why...learn about card advantage. Also, it's ridiculous to compare two separate cards, because they each have their places and some are more powerful in different formats. This card is, and will always be excellent.

Divination: 3 mana sorcery, 2 cards.
Concentrate: 4 mana sorcery, 3 cards.
Tidings: 5 mana sorcery, 4 cards.

Jace's Ingenuity: 5 mana instant, 3 cards.
Opportunity: 6 mana instant, 4 cards.

None of these are strictly better or strictly worse than another. So choose which one you want.

I personally like Compulsive Research a lot more.

I would love to see a UU Sorcery that draws two cards with no drawback. That seems to be much closer to the real value of this effect.

I prefer Mulldrifter. For 2Blue, you get a functional Divination (but not the same thing - it counts as a creature entering the battlefield instead of a sorcery), and if you've got the mana, you get a bonus 2/2 flier for an additional 2. Bargain!
