It's a chaos card! Which will make people hate you. Especially if you use Infinite Reflection or Rite of Replication. Which you will.

@magicpablo666: I hate to be that guy, but it's not going to be easy to play a 7 mana cost card after killing all your lands....

Combo: crack Defense of the Heart fetching this guy + Realm Razer, and stack the ETB effects so Razer's goes off first.

Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon
And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
So take your tyranny away!

Anyone care for something like this? "1Red: Haste, when "~" Comes into play, target opponent randomly sacrifices permanents until he or she sacrifices a Land, "~" Dies at the end of the turn. 8/8"? GUESS WHAT!

Incandescent Soulstoke

I never though I was going to run anything above 5 Cost in my Elemental Deck, except for 1 green card in the side board... This is going in the MAIN deck as soon as I get the cards for it. ELEMENTAL!!!!

This card is great from both Timmy and Johnny perspectives.
Timmy likes reasonably costed 7/7s. And it even blasts something as it enters the battlefield!
Johnny is already plotting all sorts of combos with it. And there are many combos to be plotted.
And when are we going to get something like Krak's Thumb for these "chose X at random" effects anyway?

There's no point in trying to cheat this out early as unless you wipe out all their lands beforehand, this is too unreliable. However if you wiped out their lands then you should be winning the game anyway.

I'd prefer my Discord to be a Draconequus, rather than an elemental.

but heck, this card is quite good against horses and ponies, if you make sure to protect him. but that isn't very chaotic.

Actually drafted two of these guys last night. Became a bit of a pain in the butt to decide which permanents needed to be sacrificed if we came up with a number that couldn't be decided with a roll of polyhedral die (eg: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20), and in most games, it typically took out a land and was done, but having a 7/7 body at any time is never a bad thing. Even more so if you have the means to repeat ETB.

I came here to see if anyone had found a use for this thing, and in so doing realized I missed the "at random" in the text. All I could think before realizing that was "when is my opponent going to pick a non-land permanent?", assuming you get this guy out mid/late game. Thanks Gatherer commenters!

I got one of these out of a booster I just happened to buy. Hours later I had a red deck.

Something about burning everything to the ground is just so compelling.

I don't feel like buying kiki-jiki and going infinite, so when I cast tooth and nail, I grab this guy and realm razer. All the lands disappear, and then you sacrifice all of your permanents in a random order. Epic lawlz. It's also <1/5 the cost in $.

sooo...

What if I played this targeting an opponent with a really really really large number of nonland permanents? I mean, say a guy uses an infinite combo with Huntmaster of the Fells to create a million wolf tokens, and then I play this.

I'm no statistician, but there would be something like a 99.999ish percent chance to hit a wolf token. Most likely, the effect would hit wolf token after wolf token thousands of times in a row, then finally hit a land. The only truly 'random' way I can think of to do this would involve a lot of random number generation, and it could take hours for the ability to resolve. Is there some kind of official ruling for that kind of situation?

(And yeah, I know the opponent would still probably have like 500 wolf tokens leftover, and would still have over two million life, but this is all hypothetical.)

Myojin of Infinite Rage. First cast the myojin, then on your next turn tap all your lands, destroy all lands, then cast this. Ouch.
