I want to build an entire deck around her.
(and I agree with you guys, the art in this set is just stunning, and this is the apex)

Yep, great artwork!

Also, a 3/3 flyer for 1WW should cost something around 5. Pretty decent.

Return a tapped land you control to your hand. You don't play a land this turn? = "When Emancipation Angel enters the battlefield, untap target land you control".

OR

Return a CIP/soulbound to your hand.

+

3/3 flying for 3. Uncommon. Angel.

=

5/5.

Sadly, this isn't a cost-effective replacement for Kor Skyfisher where bounce decks are concerned.

Kor Skyfisher and Glint Hawk are both better cards in this category. /just/ missed the ball here on this one, Wizards. Just barely.

This has got to be my favorite art in all of magic history. Which says ALOT! There are so many cards that were vying for that spot, but then this came out and just stole the show. Absolutely gorgeous.

it costs White more than Kor Skyfisher, but gains a much more relevant creature type for this block. and 1 more power. yeah it's worth it. 5/5

Possibly the best art in the set, and a decent card for an uncommon.

She really helped me out in the prerelease.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to use mine with Abundant Growth for card advantage along with my 3/3 beater.

A More expensive Kor Skyfisher without the imbalanced power/toughness
Yes Proclamation Angel's ability is versitile (Wall of Omens for example), , However Returning a permenent to your hand is still a net negative
Nonetheless, I like this card especially for Ardent Plea
SKyfisher used to be the only thing to be able to effectively make Ardent a Tutor
Now Proclamation angel can be used, And Ardent plea can no skip over resets

Also, Nice looking card

My God is the art on this card stunning! It is one of the best looking cards in magic, that's for sure!
As for the effect, Kor Skyfisher is better, but hell, I'd choose this over that for the art! And it's an Angel.

Possibly one of the best low cost Angels out there. Works really well with already tapped land, cheap permanents with triggered abilities upon entering the battlefield and can still be useful late game; return a Sunblast Angel back to your hand for another potential one-sided board-wipe. The possibilities are endless. All in all great card.

Sometimes I think a lot of the MTG community really misses the "point" of cards in a set... why bounce?

Indeed why "to hand" bounce when you can just use flicker effects that the white angels of this set seem to have in higher abundance... cloudshift if you need an example. So why bounce?

Mikaeus, the Lunarch.

Okay GTO, but ONE card to abuse with it is kinda gimmicky. Why don't we add to that list...

Herald of war - can easily make this angel cost WhiteWhite for a 3/3 flying
CATHARS' CRUSADE - wait... what?

This thing can bounce itself, triggering it's own ETB effect with which to abuse the crusade. Potentially WhiteWhite (at worst 1WhiteWhite) for +1/+1 counters to all your creatures, including the herald of war that's making it cheaper - and by result making all your other future angels cheaper at the same time? Awesome. Just awesome. A bit late game without ramp seeing as the "set up" for it is a 5 mana enchantment, but still.

On it's own? 3.5/5 from me. Good but not as good as some of the stuff out there.
In the combo which exists INSIDE IT'S OWN SET? 4.5/5. Nothing that will break the game in half and make it beg for mercy, but damn good.

This card works great in my angel life gain deck. Bounce back Divine Favor, or Cathedral Sanctifier, or if you have a Seraph Sanctuary on the board you can gain one life, then play it again for another life.

Just don't drop a land before your first mainphase, then exile one of your tapped lands, and play it on your second mainphase. Essentially she would come out for two mana.

Sure, you would miss a land drop in all likelihood, but in certain situations I'd rather do that then return another creatures.

Then again, I'm sure there are plenty of ways to use her drawback to your advantage. Tefiri comes to mind.

Stuning art, and, quite honestly, a great card. It is extraordinary how often people dont see the value of returning a card to your hand. There are numerous white "enter the battlefield" effects, and this helps to exploit them along with getting a 3/3 flier for 3 mana. Not everything has to be a baneslayer angel, and I think this might even be playable in standard.

Run it in your rebecca guay theme deck so it doesnt make the art on your other cards look awful in comparison

This card works amazing in my detain deck. My detainers love getting bounced back, and i love getting a 3/3 flying for 3 +)

I liked Kor Skyfisher and I love this card. I run a Kaalia of the Vast deck, so Emancipation Angel is on-theme (if cheap compared to most of the deck's other thematic creatures), and I run Rakdos the Defiler. Having an Emancipation Angel rather than a Restoration Angel to bounce Rakdos and attack again next turn with Kaalia can be quite useful.

Limited uses, but effective. Can be decent as an attacker/blocker too.
This would've been much better if it had Flash. I wish it did.
Lord_Skoonie

Stricly worse than Stonecloaker, who has flash and is easier to use with it costing 2White. And that's not even mentioning the 'Cloarker's graveyard hate ability.
SquiddyFish
☆☆☆☆☆ (0.0/5.0)
@Lord_Skoonie This isn't strictly worse, far from it. This is a 3/3 when Stonecloaker is a 3/2, this lets you return any permanent to your hand rather than only a creature (mana, O-rings, etc.). Also the angel creature type comes in handy much more than Gargoyle. Overall, I'd say they're pretty even, not to mention this card has sweet as art.

MTG's Angel art has always been awesome, and this is no exception. Seriously, look at it. How could you not want to use this card?

Stonecloaker and Whitemane Lion may have more flexible costs and flash but that doesn't make this bad by any means. It's probably on a more reasonable power level all told. Seriously, Stonecloaker is cool and all but it pushed the bounds of what a 3-cost creature could do.

Art is gorgeous and a 3/3 for 3 mana with flying is ahead of the curve. White weenies are strong in IDA block, meaning there are likely plenty of bounce targets by the time she comes out. Not Baneslayer good, but still good nonetheless.

@LordSkoonie: you don't understand strictly better. This has 3 toughness and doesn't have the graveyard effect. In order for a card to be strictly better than this, it would be identical in almost every respect- same casting cost etc. but with a better p/t or better/additional effect(s)

TL;DR Stonecloaker dies to shock, this does not.

4/5 rating.

3 for 3/3 flying? Absolutely yes. Then there's this blink effect. Damn, I wish this card was a rare or mythic with flash and/or first strike.
