His body is a bit too small for my opinion. Four mana for a 2/2? Hmm... We can already get two power creatures for just one mana. So you basically pay three for the detain. That can be very good at times, and at other times do nothing at all. So I guess he is good in limited, but not good enough for constructed decks.

In this card I see a decent limited finisher. Detaining your opponents creatures to strike in for the last couple of damage in a Selenesya deck is probably what this dude will do the best.
I hope I'm not the only person who misread this card as asari justicar.

Should have been a soldier, or whatever they usually use for police officers. I mean, wizard outside of white is neat and all, but she isn't a wizard. She's a police officer. It's not like the two are exactly opposite, but she doesn't look or act like a wizard at all.

ANYWAY, there was a situation where I had this and a Skymark Roc out. I PLANNED on bouncing the Justiciar every time I attacked, but before I made a fool out of myself, I noticed the Roc said, "defending player".
Regardless, in limited, you might actually be happier playing Dramatic Rescue on her, especially if you're chump blocking something first.
