Healing Salve PLUS a 1/1 body. Probably will end up in a Core Set. The art is awesome, reminds me of Noble Hierarch.

Pretty good 1 drop, even has the 1/1 body included.

Effectively deals with Vexing Devil, which makes me sad. ):

One of the cheapest clerics also.

Not bad at all -- Eager Cadet meets Healing Salve. Both cards are jank by themselves, but combined, they actually make a fairly efficient creature.

The art is a plus, reasonable body for a 1-drop, plus an ETB effect in a set that gives you plenty of chances to get multiple uses out of ETB effects. Perfectly fine as a 1-drop in limited. Borderline useable in constructed if you need the lifegain or humans to get you where you're going. 3/5

A very useful 1-drop! Despite how lifegain isn't exactly my thing(considering how easy it is to get around it), I really like this card considering how early you can get it out and how many 'exile and return' cards there are in this set.

I love it, but I don't quite get how you could take a card that all of us rated 4.2 (Lone Missionary) make it cost less, and have it drop by .7 stars... was the 1 life really that big of a difference?

I think the bigger drawback compared to Lone Missionary isn't the one less life, it's the one less power.

This would have potentially seen play as a 1/2, and definitely as a 1/3. As is, it's Limited filler garbage.

He's cool, but I wish this could have been Soul Warden.

Especially with all the flickering around Avacyn Restored, she's a handy little lady and an outrageously efficient one drop.

The art says: "come at me, bro".

Looks like Devout Monk gets the "strictly worse" label now, unless you really need that monk creature type. I don't see that happening, though.

The difference between 2 power and 1 power is quite big. This will chump something most of the time, while the Missionary will trade with something in the early game, not putting us at card disadvantage this way.

Not bad if you have to Cloudshift/Ghostly Flicker it. Even better as a mid or late game chump blocker via Seance.

Eager Cadet? lolno.
Healing Salve? meh
A card that combines the two for the same cost as either? Actually pretty good. There are better one-drops, but this is a good one. 4/5

Becomes Orzhov burn with Vizkopa Guildmage or even just Extort for 1. I'd like this in a foil too! 6 lifeswing with the Guildmage, not bad for 4 mana lategame. Or 5 with Extort for 2 mana. Nice! Shame they aren't together in standard for long

Going right into Reveillark.dec.

Amazing compared to Icatian Moneychanger. It is a decent one-drop, and a decent card in lifegain/recursion decks, especially those featuring Felidar Sovereign. Don't underestimate how well something simple and common like this can screw with red decks which are built around dealing 20 damage.

This really shines against aggro decks that have a few x/1 toughness creature. Make it a little harder for them to race you out and trade with something, good efficiency. If your not doing the above, the best you can hope for is to chump block a midranged creature.

This card is pretty junk against control decks though, who win the game with board control and card advantage. They dont really care about your lifegain.

I run her in a heavy ETB deck. She makes decent bait for spot removal when my opponent gets tired of all the life gain (provided I can gain more than they are swinging for). Then her friend Reveillark comes out of (or in to?) the Conjurer's Closet. Lifegain is one of my lowest priorities in a match. Still, it's nice to have the option.

Why isn't this a 4.5? This is a great one-drop!
