It doubles the attack of a creature and gives trample, not bad.. if you have 4 Giant Growth and you still want to put more instants that increase the power, you can put this

Great with Mossbridge Troll, since it simply auto-regenerates, leaving it unharmed :P Imagine attacking with a 50/25 Mossbridge Troll with trample - that's gotta hurt*! xD
*unless your opponent has something like Chastice or Awe Strike - or probably the worst of all, Boros Fury-Shield? :S

this was the first card to be considered "broken". We'd use multiple copies , and a 1st turn Kird Ape (with help from Taiga).
Me: I put a Marit Lage token into play.
Opponent: Ok
Me: Attack with my 20/20 flier
Opponent: that's ok, i've got Will-o-the-Wisp!
Me: Berserk the Marit Lage- that's 40 points of trample damage to an industrucable creature.
Opponent: Ouch
Assault Strobe. doubles the damage and doesn't kill it

I didn't notice this at first but this can be used for removal as well on a weak creature with a crazy effect. Just use it on a creature after the opponents attack step has been declared and he has to sack that creature after useful for weak a creature with no buffs on it. Provided your opponent is greedy or attacks foolishly. I suppose it would be useful in an early game when you have no creatures and opponent has 1/1 with a wicked ability like a Royal Assassin on the board. Not the best use for this card but its clever.

In response to the previous comment, if I were to use this defensively, I would just use it on one of my OWN guys, and then block his attacking creature with it, this is sometimes a 2 for 1, unless you have a creature with a high enough toughness to survive the attacking creature anyway...
So let's say they attack with an Ancient Kavu (3/3 he can pay 2 to make it have no color); and you have an Eldrazi Spawn (0/1), a Steel Wall (0/4) and an Accorder Paladin (3/1) as potential blockers; you have a green up, with berserk in your hand. He has gone to the declare attackers step, and has declared that his Kavu is attacking you, from this point. what is the best way to use Berserk in this situation?
(for simplicity purposes, let's say your opponent is tapped out, and has zero cards in hand)
If no one responds in say, a day or so, I will post what I would do, whether it is the best thing to do or not.

Hey guys, I just went to see 'The Avengers' and they actually Errata'd this card! Mark Ruffalo talked to Mark Rosewater about it because they're both 'MaRo's, and they decided to change the rules text to something easier to interpret what the card does. Berserk's New Rules are:
Berserk is Uncounterable.
, , , , , , , target Puny God creature, You gain Trample, then destroy that creature and all permanents that share a battlefield with that creature. If that creature had hexproof, shroud, was indestructible, or had protection from Green, destroy it ANYWAY.
Rulings:
1.00.1 You gain trample, not a creature. This is the first time we've granted
a keyword ability to a player before, and we're very excited because we think
it's obvious what to do and this kind of effect is popular on creatures, so why shouldn't players
get in on the action? The flavor of a Planeswalker casting a spell to give Themselves trample was so
cool, we knew we wanted to make a card out of it. We also realized we had to use a super high profile
Rare from Magic's past to communicate how awesome this was.
1.00.2 The creature is dead. Really really dead.

This plus Primal Bellow, bellow has to resolve first, of course. Heck, two Bellows. That's three green mana for what would end up winning in one attack.
Kiln Fiend first gets +3/+0 from casting Assault Strobe, then he gets +3/+0 BEFORE Berserk's ability triggers. This means that you are swinging with a 16/2 double striking trampler turn 3, all for 3 cards.
Assuming lands every turn, you could also throw in a giant growth beforehand for a 28/5 double striking trampler!
With a hand of 3 lands, Kiln Fiend, Assault Strobe, Giant Growth, Berzerk, and then perhaps drawing two Mutagenic growths, on turn 3 you could swing with a 48/9 double strike trample. Just short of 100 damage on turn 3 ;)
Well this card is super over powered, turn 1 Forest, Glistener Elf. Turn 2 attack, Berserk, Invigorate. Game.
