Why they did not include a tap symbol anywhere here, I will never comprehend.
Surely, they knew this would be a combo engine, and an easy one. They just didn't care.

But dat Epic Experiment and Melek combo tho.

@Zoah
Slight problem, his ability has to be cast while the spell(such as Rite of Flame) is on the stack, i.e. before it resolves, i.e. before the {R}{R} goes to your mana pool.
So you can copy Rite of Flame as many times as you have mana for, but there is unfortunately no infinite combo to be found here. If you have multiples, then you can at least double your mana more than once.

@SirLibraryEater: ...Eh? You'd copy Rite of Flame, then let the copy resolve. Then you'd respond to the original with another use of the copy ability, and let that copy resolve. Etc. There's an occasion misconception that once you've started letting the stack resolve, you have to let it all resolve before you can add more things to it, but that's easily disproven by, among many other examples, Snapcaster Mage being used to counter things.

Epic Experiment has exactly 0 synergy with this card. While on the stack, EE for anything except 0 would move the CMC to above 2, making this little fella's ability unable to target it.
