Auras are doing well in this set. I may try to build another aura deck.

Amazing...perfect fit in any aura based deck, and she's going in my auratog deck as soon as i get a playset. Heck, she might even replace the tog itself...lol

I had this, 2x Hyena Umbras, 2x Spider Umbras, 1x Snake Umbra and 1x Boar Umbra in my pre-release pool. My god hands were 'I drew spirit dancer plus absolutely anything else in my deck'. Good times.

A new awesomesauce Enchantress for Auras only. Sweet. Who cares if an Argothian Enchantress doesn't have shroud if she gets a buff that is twice as big as the one from Yavimaya Enchantress for each Aura put on her?

Questionable class type aside, a great Enchantress.

Good synergy with Mark of eviction = Draw a card and bounce a creature each turn for 1 blue is great!

Very good card, especially with all the crazy Auras that are in RoE.
However, I can't help but feel that it should be Equips instead of Auras, so that she'd have some synergy with her fellow Kor.

Loving the new enchantment matters creatures, this with luminarch ascension, awakening zone, domestication, and the umbras is a very nice mix. Sort of aggro'ish hard to kill creatures. There's also crystallization and oblivion ring for more straight up removal.

If this card can play at early stage, all Aura come later will be very good.
But the problem is : The deck need keep many Aura cards.
Once get all aura cards in hand without any creature, will see the weakness of this card.
May be this is the reason why Stoneforge Mystic is much expensive than this.
No need keep that much equipment cards in the deck.

Really good card. Used this card to build a standard bant enchantress deck that I piloted today at my local card shop with zero loses and proved to be really strong against the decks that dominate the current metagame. Use noble hiearchs and a few birds of paradise on turn 1, follow up with this guy and your choice of hyena or spider umbra and congrads, you now have a 3/5 that jund has to commit 2 removal spells to get rid of, and to add insult to injury put canaopy cover on it the next turn and jund basically scoops (believe me it happened tonight). Not to mention it makes spreading seas a whole lot better, screws over their mana base and draws you 2 cards instead of the normal 1 and use some sovereigns of lost alaras to pull out eldrazi con***s for huge damage and win. Try this card out with some of the 1 drop umbras and control based auras and enchantments and just have a blast playing a fun aggro/control deck that works kind of on the sligh. Definitely was a blast to play

Awesome card, at least in limited, though I wouldn't be surprised if shes constructed playable. I had her solo an opponents to 0 turn five of a prerelease, and since the only cards supporting her then were whatever limited auras I could find, its pretty damned impressive.
This isn't just a ridiculous god hand, this is what happened: T1: Land T2: Land, Spiritdancer T3: Hyena Umbra x 2 (swing for 6) T4: Distortion Strike (swing for 7 unblockable) T5: Distortion Strike rebounds (swings for 7 unblockable: 20 damage total)
Drawing a card+totem armor turn auras from card disadvantage to advantage, which is just awesome.
EDIT: After building a deck around her, I've decided shes not only a beast in limited. She provokes fear in the hearts of enemies, and with a canopy cover on her, you might of well have already won. Amazing card.

Obviously a creature that should only be used in aura decks. However, a total beast in those decks. I love the card advantage she gives especially when you have more then one out...hyena umbra draw 2 cards for 1 mana, etc. Constructed - 5/5 sealed - 2/5

She makes a decent Asha's Favor target, moreso with Umbra Mystic.
From my experience though she works much better in White/Blue or White/Green decks.
Eel Umbra becomes a Giant Growth that hangs around, Canopy Cover is absolutely great on her, and Aura Gnarlid works great as a secondary threat from pumping her with several auras. A few Trace of Abundance, Pacifism, Narcolepsy, or even Crystallization with her and the "terrible" Aura Finesse can really get into your deck while controlling your opponent.
All in all, as a newb player (standard only) she's fun. 4/5

Empyrial armor, make sure you have some reliquary tower A 7/9 that can swing on turn 3. Lack evasion, but that's what you may draw on turn 4.
I'd play this over Rabid Wombat except this card's creature types are less relevant.
Actually just less hilarious. It's too bad it's not a Wombat Cleric.

playing a beginner casual game, I barely managed to beat down a 23/23 protean hydra with just her and a ton of auras in a U/W umbra deck. i had 3 life left and she was highly underpowered, but attaching an eel umbra and drawing... an eland umbra, put me on top. i really want 4 of this card at some point.

Not sure why everyone is missing the fact that you can put a Gigantiform on her, giving here +10 +8 and Trample...and an extra card.
Turn 1: Land...Bird of paradise
Turn 2: land...Kor SpiritDancer, Equip with Spider umbra or Hyena umbra...(safe from doomblade)
Turn 3 Land...Equip Canopy cover, equip Spider Umbra AND Hyena umbra...Swing for 11
Turn 4 land, tap 4 land and Birdie for Gigantiform...Swing for 21 unblockable and Trample...
Thats a turn 4 win, if you played first that a win on your oponents turn 3...Not to mention have a Brave the Elements or emerge unscathed if anything happens...
Been playing a deck similar to this with Aura Gnarlid and Sacred Wolf and enchants. Finished top 4 everytime, only losses have been to control decks that jump on me early. Its hard when your trying to get 1 lonely creature out to enchant the hell out of it.
If anybody has any tips on improving this deck let me know.
Bottom Line....GIGANTIFORM is amazing with her.

This chick, + totem armor + day of judgment. A combo that seems very strong, that ive never seen used yet in todays standard. Fill it up with a bunch of other stuff and might make an interesting deck. Anything that is decent on its own and makes board wipes one sided seems like a win in my book.

Erik's Random card 6/15/2011 Rise of the Eldrazi is one of my favorite draft environments. I love the way there are a bunch of themes you can draft, but the rewards are mild. That lets me find my own deck and draft that.
My favorite decks to drafts are UBR with Mnemonic Wall, and a 4 color base green deck (usually everything but white), where the important green commons are the powerful Ondu Giant, and Growth Spasm.
There are a lot of cards that support a green-white enchantment deck. I prefer to draft white-blue. People would call Domestiction a "bad Control Magic", as in it is a lot weaker than Mind Control. Sign me up! I often first pick cards weaker than Mind Control. White has the common Totem-Guide Hartebeest, so a deck really comes together. It tended to be a control style deck, since Guard Duty is usually a late pick that can make the deck. Fly over, take one of their fliers, and put their best guy on Guard Duty. Season with tappers and permission :)
But where does Kor Spiritdancer fit in this? People would draft this, and then draft the GW enchantment deck that had a lot of enchantments. It was a fun deck, but it wasn't my deck. I like that this wasn't so powerful that I was felt compelled to draft that deck. This is well positioned, where people who like the GW deck have fun with it, but other players don't feel pushed into it.

Best with land Aura like Wild Growth or Utopia Sprawl.
This card is borderline unfair. A simple Rancor and Canopy Cover turn her into a hexproof trampling evading 6/8 on turn 3 while still having the same amount of cards you started with. I still love it to pieces.

Oft overlooked card for Doran EDH pilots. A natural Grizzly Bears with the king of beef, along with the other enchantresses. And in great colors for Umbra Mystic, Rancor, Spirit Loop, Flickering Ward, Shade's Form and all sorts of playable auras.

Obviously a great card for Aura decks, and really fun to boot. Fits with Rise of the Eldrazi, but it's another reminder of how making Rise have such a definitive story from the rest of the block really made it stick out more like a sore thumb rather than connect to the others - compare to some of its Kor brethren from the other sets, like Armament Master, Kor Duelist, and of course Stoneforge Mystic. The tribe seems to care about artifacts, and then along comes this girl. Like I said, good, but should have just been a human to not seem so out of place.
The second she comes down, every enchantment in your hand gains a free cantrip just for being cast. You can't even keep up countering the enchantments -- the draw trigger still goes on the stack. It's an incredibly broken card for the cost, as she gains p/t just for having the enchantment, plus whatever the enchantment gives her, and draws the next enchantment. This for 2 mana? Where is the balance in that...
