Wow, an actual good blue card from M10. Where the hell are the rest?
Edit: I should have written my comment differently, what I meant was where are the good common blue cards, it is true that blue does have a lot of good uncommons and rares, perhaps I (or anyone) should re-ana-lyze the entire set to see if blue is really deserving of all its recent criticism or not.

I can't overemphasize the power of this card in limited. It is a 4-mana answer to ANY creature. Works incredibly with UB decks; I had to take out an Enormous Baloth-- drop a Clone, block the Baloth, Rise From the Grave the Baloth and Disentomb the Clone. 3 turns, and now I have board control with a pair of 7/7s that can't be Doom Bladed.

Clone rocks.

This card has been noting but awesome for me, especially if your opponent has a pesky rare that you can't get rid of and want to pay some retribution. Really good in a green and blue deck if you can play out Mirror Gallery and then Momir Vig. If you have the opportunity to clone Momir and start playing cheap creatures that are both green and blue, you're suddenly cycling two creature into your hand for every one creature you play! Its intimidating to your opponents. Throw down a Natures Will and you start the chaos all over again. :D I definitely love this card.

but hey i'm a bit confused on stuff...like does it copy abilities too?
more specifically can i use to copy a Cemetery Reapers ability?
or maybe a Wall of Frost?

This card has so many applications. Wipe out a troublesome legendary, turn a bomb into two bombs, acquire a bomb for yourself. Great card, and perfectly priced.

This card has saved my butt from Mono Green decks with crazy powerful creatures countless times. I love it hands down, i have a blue/white deck that focuses on flying and opponent creature control, so its a must against large creatures.

My friend and I after researching around decided clone works for a creature with shroud, because it isn't targeting that creature with any type of effect? Is that correct?

Quick question.

Clone cannot target things with protblue (I'm pretty sure), But, once it clones something, does it lose the fact that it is both a card named "Clone" (for Maelstrom Pulse type effects) and does it lose the fact that it is a blue creature (again, for prot blue effects)?

Scenario:
**Removed this part**

EDIT: forgot the legend rule applied on the Ionas :/. Instead, lets say their Cloneing Shepherd of the Lost. If they clone Shepherd, and I have Brave the Elements in hand, first, can I BtE to make Clone come in as a 0/0 and die? Also, if it does successfully clone, and I decide to save BtE for the next turn, I attack, they block with the clone, can I BtE targeting blue and have protection from the Clone?

Sorry for the indepth and confusing question. :/

JacksJokeShop, Clone can copy something with protblue because it doesn't target what it's copying. That's why it's a Progenitus killer, even though Progenitus has protEverything. You are right that it changes it's name and color to match exactly whatever it copies, I found that out the hard way when I used one to copy a Mirror-Sigil Sergeant and expected it's ability to trigger off of itself. Another lesson learned.

So if, for example, clone copies a creature with savage silhouette, does clone have "1G: regenerate this creature"?

Clone is just simply the best. Why? Because if another creature on the field is already the best, it becomes a copy of that creature.

JacksJokeShop: Clone is not targeted, it is not targeting your creatures. Brave The Elements would do nothing to it. It can also copy Progenitus (thereby destroying it due to the legendary rule), which has pro-everything, again because it's not a targeted spell.

mooseling: yes. It is an exact copy of whatever creature it copies. This includes both triggered and activated abilities, creature type (and supertype if any), color, power and toughness....

Simple question. Man-lands. Namely the ones out of Worldwake.

Clone Copies an animated Man Land.
At end of turn, Clone becomes a land?

It copies all abilities of the card, but does your clone then become a land at the end of turn?

Clone is my favortie creature by far. The other day my oppenent dropped his Omnath, Locus of Mana, and I had this in my hand. I played it copided it, and he sayed in horror, "you know they both die right?"

Yea and I don't care. 4 mana well spent.

Also nice for Extended.
As long as you can hold of z.B. Marit lage with any Refuge-Land you can then just play clone

Copies any creature for just 4 mana. Gets around protections. Arguably the best blue creature for 4 mana ever.

Ok question; lets say your opponent plays Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. It then goes to your turn; you play Clone it copies Emrakul Legendary rule kicks in they both go to the grave yard is it still a clone of Emrakul causing the Shuffle graveyard into Library ability to come into effect or does it turn back into Clone causing the Graveyard ability to not activate?

Wow, what a nice card to drop on an Eldrazi Deck. What's that? Eldrazi aren't immune to the Legendary rule?

CaptainM: Clone will be the normal, non-animated, man land. It copies the card and the text on the card, not any current states. The state of the Man land allows you to choose it, but you do not get it as a creature until end of turn.

An example is given in the 7/15/2007 ruling describing Chimeric Staff

Remember, you do not get any current status, just the text of the copied object.

@XanthPrime: What about Goyf? If it "copies the text on the card", does that mean it gets the same boosts as Goyf?

QUESTION: if i have 5 creatures in play and use mass polymorph ... then turn up clone , Halimar Excavator , Renegade Doppelganger , Jwari Shapeshifter , and Hedron Crab are revealed...
1) if my opponent has no creatures clone dies?
2) i know renegade doppelgager triggers so i have it become halimar excavator
3) jwari dies also?
4) now i have crabs and 2 dead clones?

trying for a mass polymorph deck for fun ( i know im going in the right direction with renegade)
