Good body for the cost and flies. The drawback can easily be turned into an advantage.

I used this card in the prerelease by bouncing my Teetering Peaks. Worked excellently. Its a very strong card in a deck that can survive the drawback can I can see Kor Aeronaut being a more popular choice in white weenie. I still wouldn't underestimate this thing for limited though. 3 toughness on turn 2 is more than most decks can easily deal with...

This little guy rocks so much, and it's disappointing that white, rather than blue, gets such an impressive flyer with a very blue effect. Bouncing a land for use with landfall with such a sturdy body screams success in any Zendikar deck, and I don't understand how this was even viewed as being anywhere near what White does in the color pie. It's good, don't get me wrong, but she deserves to be blue, rather than white.

I think the best thing is if you drop him after turn 2 basically costs 1 mana.

On the other hand, because this is a Kor, I think it has every right to be white and not blue, considering that almost every other Kor has a "When enters the battlefield..." ability. It just makes sense to have something like this included.

Kor Skyfisher's "downside" can actually be used to great benefit despite the occasional tempo loss. You can bounce creatures with positive EtB abilities, such as Allies. I've seen people bounce Kabira Crossroads for additional life gain as well, even though the tempo loss is pretty bad.
Or how about bouncing Ranger of Eos in order to tutor up more one-drops?
Although I don't know how good an Extended deck based around Allies is, you could cast Changeling Hero and champion an Ally with it, then bounce the Hero with Skyfisher, returning the championed Ally to the battlefield for extra shenanigans.

The more I play it, the more I like it. This is one of those cards you can play for ages and still be surprised by. While I agree it would've worked as a blue card too, there's nothing wrong with it being white either. It certainly fits white's play style better.

This is not blue, blue already has plenty of bouncing effect and this one is landfall oriented. How many blue decks are out there that take SERIOUS advantage from landfall? Perhaps none, also blue doesnt permanents with 'kicker' effects to reuse by bouncing.
On the other hand the kor had shown to be a 'as this enters the battlefield do X' or 'Kicker: do X' so probably WorldWake will feature a few playable Kor to add in the mix. So far we have very interesting Kor to bounce Kor Cartographer (acceleration on mono white, how could this be succesfully used on blue?), Kor Aeronauts (fits the flying Kor theme), Kor Sanctifiers (reusable removal for mono white, and you will often play these guys without paying their kicker cost and later take advantage of it), Kor Outfiter (fits the 'equipment' theme on Kor and can save you mana), Devout Lightcaster (against black vampires and even Jund this will surely see play, what is better than a reusable exile target permanent for 3 mana?).
As white has the most playables allies so far it has reasonably good chances of being included on ally decks, but this is just speculation, we need to see WWK to know if it will become a strong and playable tribe.

If there can be such a thing as a Johnny card in Limited, this is it.
Cool uses of the bounce effect I saw in just one draft pool:
- Kor Skyfisher + Spidersilk Net (Effectively eliminating the drawback) - Kor Skyfisher + Any of the common "spell-lands" - Kor Skyfisher + Celestial Mantle (Then the player dropped a Day of Judgment and re-enchanted his next played creature, winning him the game) - Kor Skyfisher + Kor Cartographer (Landfall!) - Kor Skyfisher + Journey to Nowhere (the player had exiled a Bloodghast early on and bounced the Journey to deal with the much more threatening Malakir Bloodwitch later on) - Kor Skyfisher + Sphinx of Lost Truths (Card draw <3) - Kor Skyfisher + Any Ally

There is almost nothing blue about this. Small aggressive creature? White. Self-bounce? White. Kor? White.
I can see wanting this to be blue (because it would be amazing), but so a blue hypnotic specter, etc. dream on.
Um, you can't "journey" a bloodwitch - they have pro - white...

The only problem for this guy if you need to drop him on turn 2. It will set you back a land. Other than that the possibilities are nearly endless. Personal favorite is to bounce Kor Hookmaster. Its expensive but buys time if you don't have removal on hand. Second favorite is to bounce Stoneforge Mystic after you put into play what you wanted. Brings alot of thought to white whinie. With this card why zerg when you can do just about anything and adapt to nearly any situation.

at first, I included him because I was short on Kor aeronauts; however, after playing with him a bit I realized that his ability was so versatile! he can clean off cumbersome enchantments, costs only one in late game, can bounce useful stuff, like the mystic, or let me re-use my journeys, if worst comes to worst, on turn two he can merely bouce the bonesaw :P

Great card ! It's so easy to turn his "disadvantage" into an advantage. I have this in a white deck with Mana Vault and Serra Angels. I cast a Serra Angel on turn 2 with the Mana Vault and then cast this guy on turn 3 to bounce the Mana Vault back to my hand so I don't take the damange from it each turn. There are many other great possibilities for this card. 4.5/5

great card a 2/3 with flying for 2 mana is really good and he dose not really have a draw back his abilty has come in useful before like I had have Winding Canyons out and returned a creator they where about to kill to my hand also for decks with card like Recumbent Bliss you can kill your appoints unfriendly enchantment and there are so many other uses for it as well 4.5/5

Looking forward to trying this out with Vesner in Scars of Mirrodin. If you get him to go ultimate, Kor Skyfisher effectively becomes "1W: exile target permanent". Ultimate on Vesner shouldn't be too hard given his + gives 2 and proliferate will certainly speed things up, so getting the best kind of removal for the cost of 1W is just awesome.

The thing that makes this good is that it combos for cheap! You can bounce stuff back to your hand for just 1W. The fact that it has flying and stuck on a 2/3 body is just extra icing on the cake.

I guess you could play this like a more expensive, more versatile Glint Hawk.
If it's turn three and you missed a land drop, you could return a land and use it for a third mana.

2/3 Flying for 2 is quite above the curve. You really should NOT read the "return a permanent" triggered ability as an inconvenient. It is a great advantage if you build around it.
If you miss a land drop and can cast this guy, It's a 2/3 flying for in practice! Any landfall deck can certainly benefit from this ability.
I use it in a mono white control deck. You can get serious card advantage with four of these and four Wall of Omens. You can also bounce Kor Sanctifiers if you need to disenchant stuff and considering the sick artifacts (could have linke any sword to...) that are around currently in standard, that can be interesting. It also helps your Kor Cartographer fetch the many plains needed for Emeria, the Sky Ruin or to cast titanesque creatures. It's just really good when played with any creatures with "comes into play" abilities.
I am sure those deck with Squadron Hawk, swords and Stoneforge Mystic wouldn't mind getting an extra flying creature and fetching a second sword with their Mystic by casting it twice. ;)
Five stars for this cheap combo common.

Everyone is missing the best limited combo with this card in draft. Marshall's Anthem. Once you bounce it with this, then wait until it dies, and recast it, kicking it more than once. Mono-white repeatable graveyard recursion ftw.
@Oleander: Mark Rosewater, the Color Pie Adviser himself, said in "Avacyn-gle Ladies, Pari 1" (and perhaps sooner to when this card was released, but I read this article more recently and remember it) "Both white and blue are allowed in the color pie to bounce their own creatures." It fits in with White's protection of its creatures, as it can remove negative auras from them, -1/-1 counters, or even save them from spells if it's cast with flash like with Whitemane Lion. The effect is quite clearly White as well. Self-bounce in White is actually an example of the color pie perfectly fitting flavor with mechanics.

5/5. I run four of this guy in my soldier commons deck and the supposed disadvantage actually makes this guy seriously overpowered. Run Sejiri Steppe and Aven Rif***cher for life and protection from colour combos. If used right this guy is a 2/3 flyer for 1 mana.
