ok not quite sure why people are rating this card so low. think about it. if there is a big combat step, or someone resolves an earthquake/volcanic fallout or what have you, you can save ALL of your creatures by spending 2 mana, they are all just slightly weaker. very useful. 4/5

Yea, why is a card that let's you survive mass removal for 2 mana, instant speed, considered to be worthy of only 2 stars? 4/5.

I'm the third person to wonder about the community rating and give this card 4/5.
It won't be able to save x/1 creatures of course, but aside from that you can either only save one orall creatures on your side with toughness 2 or more. And this might either happen through combat damage or any m^ass removal effects.

Since you can choose to give this effect to any creature, it might be useful in teamplay as well, and you could even save an opponent's creature if it comes handy.

And all that at instant speed for a colorless and a hybrid mana, that's seriously not a bad thing.

This actually looks to be very potent for a Momentary Blink deck. They try to cut down your creatures, you just set up the Haze, and not only do they come back, they trigger their effects again (not that this saves any X/1 creatures, but at least you get their CiP abilities to go off a second or third time).

This card and Momentary Blink as well as Cauldron of Souls make Scarecrow - Reaper King decks epic.

Cauldron of Souls is why this card is ratted so low there is no point in it bing low mana coast big battles and cards like day of judgment tend not to happen before the 5 turn so Cauldron of Souls 5 mana coast is not a problem.

Ive been running it in a Teysa, Orzhov Scion deck. I'll wait till im gonna lose a few 1/1s and then i play this. They die twice and trigger Teysa twice. Cheep double token effect. Also not bad at keeping her alive as well.

Definitely running this in my Morbid/undying deck.

Want to make a casual deck with lots of x/1's with nice die effects like Doomed Traveler. Morbid loves this too, also Wakedancer loves dancing with these hag-ladies.

I love that the background to this is purple. Goes well with the name.

There may be better uses, but I like it in a Zubera deck alongside Devouring Greed.

In response to the guy who said it's rated so low because of Cauldron of Souls:

I don't understand why that's so. You don't necessarily need to use it on every creature you have for it to be worth the mana cost.

Undying Evil gives one creature Undying for one black mana. If you only give two creaturs Persist with this card, it's the equivalent of two Undying Evils. Except it's Persist instead of Undying. But still useful in decks where you want stuff to die and come back.

I'm planning on making a Proliferate Infect Deck around Core Prowler and Throne of Geth, and putting in playable sets of Undying Evil, Cauldron Haze, and other things to help me get my Core Prowlers back so I can sacrifice them again.

Great Artwork and offers an interesting perspecting to "blink" type cards, feels very black. You can trigger enter the battlefield and leave the battlefield triggers quite easily with 1/1's.

Also can make Undying Creatures stick around for a long time

If you like to troll your opponents, just play this when someone plays Wrath of God.

They get -1 / -1, but at least, they survive xD.

This looks like it can be a secondary finisher in a Blood Seeker/Suture Priest deck I'm building.

6 turn: cast Alliance of Arms (after having 2-3 of either BS or SP on the field)
7 turn: cast this, targeting all their soldiers. Cast Curse of Death's Hold

Doesn't really beat out having the curse out earlier, since they'd have a chance to attack with all the soldiers first. Intangible Virtue would prevent that though. Still, this is all assuming the opponents can survive after AoA is cast in the first place. Stranger things have happened..

Am I right in saying this is a pretty sweet anti-Wrath card, especially for Melira combo decks?

I friggin' love this card, both on paper and in practice. On paper, you can save your entire board from a wrath effect and troll the hell out of your opponent. In practice, I used this in my Karador EDH deck with Solemn Simulacrum and Altar's Reap to reap serious value off of sacking one creature. It went like this:

1. During the end of the turn of the guy before me, cast this targeting Sad Robot , giving it persist.

2. Cast Altar's Reap sacking Sad Robot, drawing a card, searching for a basic after he persisted back, and then drawing two more cards.

3. Draw for turn. Somewhere in the middle of all this card draw, I drew into Skullclamp.

4. Play Skullclamp and hook it up to my now 1/1 Sad Robot. Draw three more cards.

There's so much this card and its big brother Cauldron of Souls can do in a deck like mine. Use it on Sylvan Primordial and then sac Primordial to Greater Good to blow more stuff up, ramp more Forests, draw 6, and ditch three creatures I need in the yard for Karador plays? Yes, please! Give Ashen Rider persist and sac him off to exile two or three more permanents? Hell yeah! Use with Phyrexian Altar to get mana and keep your creatures? I like the sound of that. I think this card deserves a higher rating than it has, because the utility you can get out of giving your board of creatures persist is quite amazing.

I'm giving it a 4/5 now, since it's not bonkers enough to get a 4.5/5, but I would definitely recommend it for decks with lots of ETB/LTB triggers and sac outlets.
