4 power and 4 toughness for three mana is good. That being said, I find it somewhat unlikely that morbid is going to trigger that early unless both players are running aggressive decks. In that case they would run something more aggressive than this...

Not awful at any rate, but I feel she's gonna be hanging out in your hand for a real long time as you wait for Morbid to go off.

decent card, amazing art. I've found morbid a lot harder to trigger reliably than I had expected, though.

@luca: Not hard to trigger in Black, honestly; there are decks waiting to build around effects like this...though this is a fairly weak one.

Death comes so easy (and often rewarding) in this block Wakedancer would almost always coming in with an extra 2/2 zombie. Recurring Nightmare seems to suit her purpose fully, sacrificing a creature to reuse her Morbid condition.

This could work in Birthing Pod.

In black/red she plays well with Furnace Scamp, who has very good odds of triggering your Morbid effect one way or the other.

Another reason to put mortarpod in your black white token decks. I like the curve it forms with this card.

turn 2; mortarpod
turn 3; sac the token, 1to their face or whatever weenie they might have, then this.

She's a black human, and therefore combos with archdemon of greed, skirsdag flayer, and village cannibals.

She can pick up little synergies with both the "sac humans" effects and the zombie effects. She's cheap enough that you might be able to kill something and cast her in the same turn.

I'll try this out. I've been looking for something better than Phyrexian Rager to Birthing Pod into and out of, at 3CMC. A bit of a disappointing topdeck, though, I think, compared to the Rager. My Gb pod deck is going to love the Strangleroot Geist, though!

Love this card!! I am really drawn to it for some reason. Maybe her beauty, the background, and the flavor have something to do with it.. =P 3 mana for two 2/2's in Black? Yupperz! I did a great deal of damage with this card last FNM. Realistically - 3.5/5, but I heart this card so I gave it a 4.5/5!

Zombie deck with Gravecrawlers, she get's out pretty quick w/ morbid. Also, this b*tch loves getting slapped...with undying.

2/2 + 2/2 + 3/3 + 2/2 for 4 mana.

Pretty nice to run alongside Undying Evil.

The best part about this card is, you expect it to be a (recently made lame by being overpowered in Zendikar) vampire from the picture, but it's really just a normal person driven to necromancy. Simply a beautiful and amazing card conceptually. I'm running it along with Rite of Consumption, some Morbid/Undying cards, and Abyssal Persecutor for right now. She probably plays well with equipments such as Lashwrithe, but not so well with tribal lords because the creatures are two different types. Even without any combos, two 2/2s for 3 is pretty good.

Beautiful art. Three mana for two 2/2s, ideally, and although she's not a zombie, they can come out a turn sooner than Moan of the Unhallowed.

An essential card in my B/G Morbid Demons deck, having to be able to trigger morbid rather easily by turn three or four because of Nest Invader, Growth Spasm, Awakening Zone or an evoked Shriekmaw. Once out, I can easily swing for 6 or more next turn.

Run in some Strangeroot Geist, Skirsdag High Priest and some removal and you got yourself a fast tempo aggressive deck that will put your opponent on a clock.

This card can be great, it just needs the right deck to make it shine. 4/5

Trade your vanilla 2/2 with an Elite Vanguard or sacrifice a cheap card/token. Play this bad boy. You have two guys ready to defend or attack with.

I just had a crazy idea for building a deck she would go well in. Still waiting for the cards to ship in and then I have to do some testing and balancing but the jist of it goes like this:

I sacrifice a bunch of cheap humans like Skirsdag High Priest (after using him) to Bloodflow Connoisseur and while I'm at it, pump up Village Cannibals as well. I bring her out and do it again if I need to. The whole time Blood Artist and Falkenrath Noble are on the table doing "nothing".

There might be some lifelink going on with Markov Patrician but I really just wanted to make a fun deck where I just kill my own creatures to syphon life. It's definitely not a tournament deck but should be fun to mess with my friends in between matches at a draft.

Sticking an Unhallowed Pact on her can garentee the zombie generation. If you can activate the morbid when she first enters the battlefield as well, then that's 2 zombies you can easily get out of her. I found her much more useful than I first thought.

T1: Duress, T2: Crypt Keeper, T3: attack if possible or just sacrifice for Morbid, Cast Wakedancer for 4 power on the board.
