Definitely the best of the 'hunted cycle'. However, unlike the other Hunted cards, the faeries can actually kill the troll. But that's what regeneration is for!
Holy !!??! 8 power for four mana!!!! Too bad those fairies will chump block the heck out of it for the next four turns.... My opinion is that WotC should perfect a new "hunted cycle". These guys are always tempting to play but more likely you will regret it as soon as creature removal or bounce technology thwarts your creature.

Play this, then Stifle it's triggered ability to give your opponents fairies. An 8/4 for 5 total mana isn't bad at all.

Not as good as hunted horror IMO, but unlike that one you just might be playing this one together with good ol' pyroclasm. All I'm missing here is a little trample, but who am I to complain when given a 8/4 regenerater for 4?

In a green/black deck you could play this wil Nausea or something similar to take care of those tokens if you were really worried about them.
The art for this card is pretty inspiring, from my perspective. That troll really looks like he's giving those fairies an epic fight.

Like the rest of the hunted cycle, this can be a beast with Leyline of Singularity :P That way, you won't need to cast anything extra just to get rid of the tokens.

@shoalsuser2004: no, it isnt, but a 12/12 for 2 is much better, and thats what most people use stifle for. On the card itself, its excellent, I run it in a deck along with the phantasm hunted with goblin sharpshooter to get rid of the tokens and Blood Seeker to really bring in the pain.

I actually managed to get enough mana to drop this and a Hunted Dragon on the same turn, followed by a Pyroclasm. With a Fires of Yavimaya on the table to give the troll haste I swung for the win.

I got one of these for my Glissa, The Traitor EDH deck. I'm hesitant to spend the $ on Forbidden Orchard, so thankfully this guy is much cheaper and most of the problems people typically have with the hunted cycle are negated. Using Thornbite Staff I can kill all the faeries to get 4 artifacts back from my graveyard, then swing with the troll for 8. If he gets bounced that's a good thing! I can do it all again.

Portcullis works wonders with this cycle of creatures, at worst they get a single 1/1 which will probably die as a chump blocker, leaving you open to play another creature.
Does the opponent get the creature tokens each time Hunted Troll is regenerated?

This guy fits in perfectly in Edric the Spymaster EDH. They won't be swinging at you with those token, not when they could draw cards by swinging at someone else.
This thing can bring a relatively easy kill on turn four when you accelerate mana on turns one and/or two, then cast Overwhelming Stampede, preferably when you can benefit one or even two more creatures with the +8/+8 and Trample.
Homeward Path works well with all of the "hunted" cards from Ravnica.
The opponent controls the tokens, but since you own the card that made the triggered ability that made the tokens, you own the tokens. All you have to do is tap your Homeward Path to gain control of the tokens! Homeward Path is great here because it provides when you need mana, and it is the repeatable Brand you need each time you cast a "hunted" creature. And by the way, Brand works well, too. I don't like it as much in this situation because it is a one time deal.
