Levels the playing field for green decks with no fliers, or in the case of creatures with reach gives you an edge.

Why not just play hurricane? Then they can't attack OR block.

Hurricane doesn't stick around, though. ;p

Turns Canopy Cover into unblockable good-shroud, nice. A very powerful card in the right deck. Pair it with something like Valakut Fireboar for 7 damage a turn and very little short of a wrath that could stop it.

This and a Gravity Well would really annoy your opponents.

I freaking love what this card does in wolf token decks. Take that, Baneslayer Angel!

Now outclassed by Bower Passage.

Bower Passage is better for 1-on-1s, certainly. But if you play this card in multiplayer, that Serra Angel or whatever can't block any nonflying creatures any player controls. This encourages your opponents to attack each other, since there are good attacking opportunities for them as well.

.....The flavor here gets skewed when you realize that a Krosan Cloudscraper can somehow hide underneath a few trees.

And, For added humor, Imagine the following creatures hiding under a forest from a few dozen Angels/Drakes/Whatever can fly.

Ulamog
Kozilek
Avatar of Might
Trench Gorger
Witch-Maw Nephilim
Phyrexian Dreadnaught
