Balanced mana cost plus a great ability, especially when paired with Well Wishers which were in block at the same time.

Great in a White/Green life-gain deck. He needs Trample though.

He looks hungry, he's needs some Nourishment. It would be helpful if he entered the battlefield in a Privileged Position.

Armadillo cloak gives it a little boost and trample (which it needs) while setting up the lifegain combo. It can still get zapped, but sometimes the payoff is well worth it.

Behemoth sledge is probably a safer bet considering this fattie will send up a big red "kill me" flag.

Ageless Entity + Mayael's Aria + Nourishment = turn 6 win.

Children of Korlis to turn any life you lose or damage you suffer into another round of lifegain.

My only complaint with this card is that you have to put the counters on it, there is no "may". I know this isn't a necessarily big flaw, as 99% of the time you would choose to do it anyway, but there's always that rare occasion where it could work against you.

One obscure example that comes to mind is someone using Invigorate to pump up his/her Kulrath Knight leaving my ageless entity useless until I get rid of the knight. Also they could swing through the air for 7, which is almost never a good thing

Just got one in a pack. Totally going in my G/U Saproling deck. Mycoloth + a Paradox Haze or 3 and wait a turn or two, then after playing this guy a little Folk Medicine would come in handy. Then Fate Transfer, moving those counters to the Mycoloth. And of course, I always have a couple Essence Wardens in my deck.

A 4/4 is already solid, but this one gets BIGGER and BIGGER with EVERY LIFE POINT you gain. This creature is really awesome!
It can be a beater in white/green control/life gain decks (with Peace of Mind, Pride Guardian, Wall of Hope, Wall of Essence and similar, and some spells which give life); it is also somehow usable in an elf deck.

Ageless Entity soulbond with Nearheath Pilgrim and each equipped with a Mask of Avacyn. With 4 of each in a Green/White Life Deck, I've worked up some ridiculous power/toughness!

I had a very unwieldy win using:
Ageless Entity enchanted with Lifelink while Sanguine Bond and Boon Reflection were in play. My Ageless entity had 56 counters on it making it a 60/60 for a 240 point life total swing without needing to connect!

Along with almost all other 'combo piece' creatures that get big based on a certain factor, desperately needs trample. I know there are ways to give it trample, but short of Rancor, there are few that are mana-efficient enough and don't two-for-one you when it dies.

In short: cool card but it is dealable-with most of the time. Not worth building your deck around unless you have other ways to use the lifegain to your advantage.
