A very fun card that differs attackers quite easily. Its utility as a wall is great since while it dies, it heals you, practically blocking two attacks. It's quite potent for only 1 mana. A Steel Wall is a possible alternative, but most of the time I'd rather have this.

It's also a boon in multiplayer in my group. I use three in my all-white deck, and whenever I get one in my opening hand I can almost guarantee that I won't get attacked for most of the game.

Used to withstand Shock, but now dies to Lightning Bolt, and gets killed by Bloodbraid Elf :/
I like this wall - I used to play with it back when I started playing Magic, and it always helped a lot. Also, its tiny manacost makes it great during the first few turns, or maybe even in a defender deck?
Wall of Steel is also a really nice choice, especially if you're running other colors than white.

Twisted Image becomes a cantrip killspell that disregards the life-gain.. a little depressing.

Perimeter Captain is better in most situations, though you can get a big boost if you block something large without trample with this.

This card is really really good. To me this is one of the best walls ever printed.

I've seen great reaction in adding this to my Stuffy Doll/en-Kor/Blasphemous Act deck. Just redirecting bits of damage comes in very handy, especially considering that it's any form of damage, not just combative.

Honestly I prefer this to Souls of the Faultless. But I'm always glad to see a potent and efficiently costed creature with defender.

I prefer walls that have power, a cantrip, or flying. Power for killing weenies (or more of a deterrent), cantrip for obvious reasons, or flying + reasonable toughness to block those early flying swords or similar.

This is a fine wall, but I feel there are a lot better T1 plays to be had, even in decks that can appropriately use this.
