Not a fan of this. The 2/1 makes me scared to attack with it (even with flying), which gives me less of a chance to mess with Inspired.

Freed from the Real with this is really, really evil.

This card looks like one that would be very good against control when Nightveil Specter rotates out of Standard. While the damage is low, it will likely cause a removal spell to be used or be countered. If neither happens, then they start losing cards, which is the opposite of what Nightveil Specter does now. Sadly, the one toughness may not let this be playable.

I love it.
Horrifying to face in draft, and likely playable in constructed.

If you can untap this on their draw step (say with Kiora's Follower) while they have no card in hand, you've put them in a soft lock where they can't cast anything except instants.

this will be good with Phenax, God of Deception

add in some green and Prophet of Kruphix and you can even untap every untap stage, add some inspire creature creaters and you have a GUB mill deck

Mmmm, mill and discard go together like peanut butter and jelly. It's too bad she doesn't go so well with Phenax.

At first i thought this was just okay, then i saw it's effect was repeatable. What a horrifying revelation!

Okay, i'll leave now.

Don't forget that this is in the same draft environment as Griptide. On curve, too.

Cheap yet unconditionally flying zombies in U/B without a drawback are definitely uncommon (actually, they're downright rare!), plus this one seems like multiplayer fun... my Zombie tribal Grimgrin EDH deck approves!

There's plenty of Zombie lords staggering around outside of standard that can boost this chick up, and who cares if she dies anyway? Graveyards are a zombie deck's best resource!

Ohhh - so there are zombie Sirens that get inspired . . . Good to know Wizards, good to know.

This is just one more example of how flavorfuly discordant sirens are in theros and especially this set- just a body to stick any old mechanic.

All I want to do is give her the Siren Song Lyre.

Going straight in my Zombie Mill EDH, for several reasons:

1) Flying zombies are super rare. There are enough zombie lords out there to make this guy a legitimate attacking force, and that in turn enables the Inspired mechanic.

2) Cheap for EDH, but a powerful mechanic, particularly with the discard. Can easily be gotten out on turn 2 most times with EDH ramp, and the sudden swing in card advantage could be enough to tip early game balance, or at least get your opponents to waste a valuable removal on it.

3) Awesome combos within its colours. Namely, Intruder Alarm. Cryptic Gateway with that in zombie tribal is just a joke. Add in other cards like Hair-strung Koto and Phenax, God of Deception, and you've got a synergy that works with both tapping AND untapping your creatures, for the perfect mill combinations.

Sure another toughness would have been awesome, but it's still really good for its cost. Definitely going straight in my deck when I get my hands on one!

So unless I'm mistaken, this + Freed from the Real + Paradise Mantle = GG, correct? Unless they have removal, there's no way they can stop you tapping & untapping.

I wonder if this could maybe find a place in a modern b/u zombie tribal deck? I realize that with the umpteen-bazillion zombie lords running around those deck types might already be pretty saturated with 3-drops, but then again, its a FLYING ZOMBIE. So maybe it'll find a home….

Funnily enough one of the best inspired creatures in the set.

She is definitely solid although being 3 mana for that body probably means that she wont see much use in constructed.

Need some fun ways to get this chick tapped?

Mothdust changeling allows you to safely get her tapped the very turn she comes out, as does Bramblesnap - both at instant speed, too!

My FAVORITE card with her though is Hidden Strings. If I've put her out since last turn and my opponent can't block flying, play it (tap the siren, untap the siren), cipher strings to your siren, swing at your enemy for two, play hidden strings again (untap the siren, tap her again), and then after their turn ends, she untaps to discard another card - 3 mill and 3 discard, with 2 more each turn if they don't do anything about it.

And yah, having Phenax is just icing at that point.

Possible untested potential with this one. Flying is not a big thing in Standard right now, aside from a few threats like Nightveil Specter, Desecration Demon, and Stormbreath Dragon. Since this shares a color with Hero's Downfall, it should be able to get through defenses fairly regularly.

This has possibly the most abusive Inspired ability in the set, if you can use it to full effect.

@TopRomen: Unfortunately, you're only allowed to target Siren once with Hidden Strings. From the oracle text:

"You may tap or untap target permanent, and then you may tap or untap another target permanent."

Unless you get two Sirens on the field, your plan isn't going to work.
