Agreed. This is so much better than Topan Ascetic its not even funny. Actually it's quite funny.
Plus the flavor text is highly amusing.

This is insanely useful, especially with all the defenders and tokens.

i have become quite fond of this card. used it as an alt win condition at the prerelease, and it can pay off big. spawn out tokens and small critters and tap them all to unleash early waves of 5/5 and 7/7 trample.

Yeah....considering how many ways there are to get those tiny Eldrazi Spawn out, this guy is a bomb in limited if played at the right time. Easily got him to 9/9 in one round at the prerelease. And a 9/9 trampler is no laughing matter if your opponent doesn't have an Eldrazi out.

Me and my friend were wondering, if you tap this card to give it self +1/+1 when it attacks does it still do damage? We heard somewhere that if you do that, it will get +1/+1 but it wont do damage to the creature it's being blocked by.
@Vedalken_Arbiter
Thats what I figured, but say it was the other way around. What if he was defending, could he declare it as a defender then tap itself to make it a 2/2 so it could kill the attacker?

Pretty stupid design, I don't like his laughable size without any outside help.
Tap 2 untapped creatures: Bramblesnap gets +2/+2 until end of turn. (or if this would have been overpowered: Tap 3 untapped creatures: Bramblesnap gets +3/+3 until end of turn)

This is EXACTLY what this mechanic needed; a cheap body and trample. A Vast improvement. 4 out of 5
@Yaminick
Attacking already causes a creature to tap. If you tap it first it can't attack at all. If you attack first it's already tapped and can't tap again. The exception is if it has vigilance when it attacks. In that case you can tap it after it attacks to boost itself one more.
yes, It could block and then tap to boost itself.

At , it sits at an amazing spot, ready to attack on turn 3 with a token producing spell.
@Aun I LOVE the art; it's colorful.

Lodestone Myr Lite. Well, not light so much as different. Nowadays you're more likely to have a multitude of creatures than artifacts anyway. At least you can still uselessly tap the creature itself to buff.

Sick bomb in limited, easily the best offensive 2 drop in Roe. If goyf was also in Roe and money issues were set aside id take Bramblesnap over the goyf joker any day. 5/5 and am disappointed to see the masses underestimate him, albeit id love it if u guys would pass me him in draft ;)

The sheer versatility of Topan Ascetic made him much better than he was given credit for. This guy is the same thing for one less mana and with Trample. How can you go wrong with such an underrated gem? He's a devastating blocker, as any creature that you are already blocking with can be tapped to give him an additional +1/+1. If you have three blockers, he's as good as a 4/4 for two. I call that good card advantage. Plus, he can be a beast on the attack, having the same psychological effect as putrid leech. (You guys remember that guy, don't you?) More often than not, he can get just big enough to kill their creature and just keep on trucking. (Or bigger, if you want.)
I have always loved Topan in drafts, and in ROE this guy will be no different, if not better with all of the tokens and walls.
5/5 for great card design and playability

This card is good on SOOOO many levels, it just all works out. You can pump him, he has trample, and he only costs 2. People will be playing this card for years, he plays so well with so many other cards.

Compare this with Lodestone Myr and you will know just how good this force of nature is.
What's really wrong about the flavor of this card is that it's an elemental instead of a beast. Without reading the flavor text, name or creature type, I'd say this was ment to be a beast!
Eldrazi spawns make this guy so good, I am going to play test it in my sac deck as an alternate win condition. Makes good use of tokens without saccing them, sounds useful. The trample makes all the difference.
