Now I'm going to see if I can build a standard suicide black deck.

I feel like this card would be awesome in a Golgari deck. Using Lotleth Troll to discard and Varolz, the Scar-Striped for scavenge, this can be another Slitherhead

I can't believe this doesn't have at least a 4/5

Great in Rakdos aggro. I Titan Strength it on T2, you take 6. I think that's the most damage you can deal on turn 2 in standard today. I don't know how it's not at least a 4/5 either.
Though now that I think of it, using a Godless Shrine to get this out T1 then dropping those same 2 Ethereal Armors on this T2 results in your opponent losing 8 life on t2 (2 from the hero's triggers, and 6 from the now 6/5 Hero that's getting 2 +2/+2 boosts).
Pretty sure there's something big in a turn 1 green dude followed by a turn 2 multiple Burning Tree Emissaries followed by Aspect of Hydra. 2 lands, (Experiment One or Dryad Militant), 3 BTEs, Aspect of Hydra, and a Titan's Strength = 12 swing t2.
I think there's bigger though. 2 shocks to supply red+blue+white mana, T1 Blistercoil Weird, T2 Hidden Strings x3 and Boros Charm = attacking with 5/5 double strike that becomes 8/8 at second strike and gives you plenty of instant speed mana to play with between strikes with card #8 (Explosive Impact?)
Yep. Those 8 cards = 5+9+5 = 19 damage. Things were so much easier when Fling was in standard.

This guy smells like EDH shenanigans to me. Get a nice cheap Buyback card that can target creatures (like Imps' Taunt), a big old pile of mana, then go nuts. It hits everyone at the table, which is kinda sick in multiplayer.
I mean, sure, you could just Exsanguinate, but where's the fun in that?

Turn 1: swamp, this guy. Turn 2: plains, ethereal armor & deviant glee you gain 2 they lose 2. Swing for 6. Puts pressure on fast. Throw in some orzhov charms and some gods willing or the like and you got a resilient lil beater that can cause much frustration and possibly some bad plays on the opponents part because they will be focusing on the lil one drop in their face and not the larger threats standing behind the lines in wait of the opportune moment to strike.

this card is likely based on the tragic hero Orestes, who was followed by dark phantasms for killing his mother
