There's a lot of Lorwyn stuff in M14. This is cool.

@Continue Why Mutavault ? It does not trigger Door of Destinies to put a charge counter on it. Casting 2/2 with the chosen type will probably be better; especially when you are not going to have this on the field on turn 1 anyways.

Guys, the reason we got this and Mutavault in M14 are because of the Slivers, not because of Theros. WOTC "can't print multicolored cards in core sets" so they couldn't make a new Sliver Queen/Overlord/Legion creature, so they put some good colorless stuff in there.

We got both this and Mutavault in M14... possible tribal theme in Theros?
@infernaldarkness: Never said it did.

@JSSArfin: ***. They have already printed Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker in a core set. Why couldn't they do it again with the Sliver Queen (at Mythic rarity, naturally)? Not that it would be worth it, though, seeing as how ***, disgraceful and just plain wrong the M14 slivers really are.

Name rogue, Faerie Imposter, target itself for as many blue as you have, slap with Invisible Stalker because he needs more help. I like it at least.
Edit: messed up, need two faeries for it

@tiggurix: They wouldn't reprint Queen either, as it's on the reserved list, and the closest was printing the oversized version for Commnader. Something like a Sliver Legion would have been ok, or even would have preferred Coat of Arms, but i'll take Door at least.

I think this is much more fair than the crazyness that is Coat of Arms
Very cool, but not unfair

Goes great with any tribal deck. Slivers, elves, fairies, saprolings, goblins, if you can chug out a lot of them they will get powerful very fast, especially with multiplier cards like Doubling Season or Parallel Lives out.
Zombies can especially benefit. Gravecrawler can keep coming back for more counters, and Lotleth troll will love the extra snacks! Eventually, you may end up with a Grave Titan that can produce two zombies more powerful then himself every time he attacks or is blinked in with Cloudshift =)
I'm going to use 4 of these to replace Gauntlet of Might in my Kobold deck! 5.0 for a card that adds value to this masterpiece of a deck!

white weenie decks just got so much better. Elspeth, sun's champion, Captain of the watch, Captain's call, the list just goes on and on.

So, just to clarify, this wouldn't necessarily trigger with anything that spawns out tokens of whatever your creature type is (say, an Assemble The Legion or Evangel of Heliod), would it? I initially thought it did and murdered everyone with my soldier deck at a friendly game, but looking at the text, I think those might've been hollow victories.

I'm trying to run this in my green beast deck, but just like many cards I already use, I like it more in concept than execution. It just seems that I would have different priorities by the time I get 4 mana.
Spawned creature tokens do not trigger Door of Destinies. However, your spawned tokens of the chosen creature type will gain the buff from Door of Destinies, thereby giving you more powerful spawned creatures. For instance, Door of Destinies with two charge counters, along with the +1/+1 buff from Imperious Perfect, makes my spawned 1/1 green Elf Warrior creature token from Imperious Perfect a 4/4.

Some day though, some one is going to be up against a couple 6/6 Kalonian Tuskers and a 10/10 Garruk's Horde or 12/12 Skarrg Goliath
I have both Mutavault and Door of Destinies in my Elf and Goblin decks. Door of Destinies with charge counters enhances Mutavault when activated into a creature. That's the chemistry and benefit of the two.
