Glad this is getting reprinted, so it will be cheaper. This a really good manland.

One mana, for a 2/2 with evasion, that gets bonuses from any tribal you play. Fair....

Soooo that's why it didn't have changeling!

Oh, jeeze. M14 just hit a home run. Need a playset, stat.

I pity those who spent $34 on Mutabault months ago. Price dropped more than half since then.

I could totally see why this is expensive, but would never shell out more then 1 dollar for a f*cking land.

I hope Zoetic Cavern gets a reprint soon as well!

I'm so happy this is getting reprinted. Now I can get a copy without spending tons of money!

Is this a money grab or just the opposite? Most of M2014 looked like junk until this baby popped up. Well, we did need a 'Cavern of Souls' / money land to dig for in all of those boxes.

Pick these up while they're $15. I have a good feeling that Theros will be a Tribal block.

There's a lot of speculation about Theros having a tribal theme because of this card and Door of Destinies. Sure, it's possible, but Wizards has given us red herring themes in core sets before, such as the enchantment theme in M12 (which is also in M14, by the way) which was not followed in Innistrad. As I see it, there are two clear reasons for Mutavault being in this core set, neither of which require predicting the future:

1.) Mutavault was conspicuously left out of Modern Masters
2.) Mutavault is a sliver

The sliver theme in M14 as well as the general popularity of tribal decks also apply to Door of Destinies. There's no reason Theros couldn't have a tribal theme, but it's also not like these reprints are completely out of nowhere. We'll find out in a couple of months if the speculation is correct or not. In the meantime, enjoy being able to easily acquire this land for the first time in years and to be able to play in in Standard again.

As stated by others, "Mutavault is a Sliver". I hope there are at least a few standard-playable sliver decks, and if there are, they will run this.

The bread and butter of magic is playing lands and casting creatures. This guy is the complete meal.

@ The_Trendkill

I also think that Theros has a tribal theme in it (hopefully Minotaurs/Centaurs and all these lovely things) because every block with a theme from real life had at least a little bit tribal theme in it: Kamigawa (Japanese culture) with offering, spirits, samurai, etc.; Lorwyn/Shadowmoor (Irish, English, Welsh, Scottish, and Celtic stories folklore/mythology) with kithkins, treefolk, elves etc.; and Innistrad (Gothic/horror) with vampires, spirits etc. I could imagine there is a raw idea behind this.
I also think thre could be a legendary theme again additionally, and maybe finally an enchantment theme ;)

EDIT: Oh well, out of date...It's already confirmed that it will be an enchantment block, apart from minotaurs it's not a tribal set, and there will be more legendary permanents than normal ;) So I am at least a little bit right with tribal O.O

Instant changeling! Just add mana!
I didn't know of this card's existence, but I am glad this is in standard now because it will tremendously help out any tribal deck.

Now that we have creature type "God" I can say the following:
"Ray, when someone asks you if Mutavault is a god, you say YES!"

(Once activated) it dies to any sort of specialized creature destruction, like Human Frailty.

Sorry for being a noob at this, but, why is Mutavault so expensive? There are other manlands, and the only difference I can see between this and the others is that it can be run in any color deck, it has tribal relevancy, and it's always a 2/2 for 1. What makes this better, though? I'd expect it to have dropped in price more since there's no real big tribal themes...

I love these cards that say "It's still a land," like it's saying, "Calm down people. Don't get too excited. Don't make this out to be more than what it is. Nothing to see here. It's just a piece of cardboard. Just sit down and relax. It's still a land."

I run it alongside Myr Galvanizer for the untap shenanigans.

@Mistralis: Mutavault is every creature type and can be turned on for 1, making it very splashable compared to other manlands.

Hilarious how all the old comments are like, "Now I can get a playset for cheap!" I don't know about your situation, but these are running for about $35 at my local card shop.

I thought that it would be relevant that this land was a Sliver. As it turns out, it's far more relevant that it's an Elemental, a Rat, and a Minotaur. Who could have guessed?

Combines with things in such goofy ways that there are endless combos with it.
Use Mishra's Factory if you're not a tribal deck; use this if you have tribal synergies.

I recommend 4 in every deck they are legal in. Value is immense in game not just another pigeon-holed expensive standard card. It rocks out all decks and synergies with Pack Rat, Elves, Merfolk, Etc... May all your crits be hits!!!

I bet the reason this has barely dropped in price, if at all, is because this land synergizes with all the copycat Master of Waves decks piddling around constructed right now. Which, don't get me wrong, is a sick deck, but each one looks the EXACT SAME as all the others.

Technically、when animated、this gets the creature type Wolverine。That just sounds badassed。

Most people's pick as the best card in Theros standard, followed by Thoughtseize and Sphinx's Revelation.
