@Mystgate: She's a Dwarf because the flavor text (and maybe the background story) identify her as a Dwarf. For her, at least, WotC paid enough attention to ensure she had the right creature types. If only they could have done that for all the old creatures they gave new types to.

I dunno. I'd rate this a bit higher.
With vampires youre always paying more than its power to cast. This is also a legend, so why not have one in your vamp deck?
Why not make O-ring 5 to cast? Or Rancor now 3 to cast?
Enchantments are definately something green and white are heavily into, might as well dick them over. Off the top of my head I don't recall there being a black version of disenchant.

My mate plays a green agro deck with as much enchantments as creatures. This would stop him in his tracks if I could get this out turn 2 with a dark ritual.

ugh... In the modern day if you actually wanted to stop your opponent from casting enchantment spells you should count on them having Serra's Sanctum or elves that create lots of mana. Which makes this pretty useless. Shame cuz it's otherwise maybe a useful card..
I guess the general thought is that this card's ability would have been better, if it were and SPELLS, not just enchantments, that would cost more to cast.

If you are on a tight 1$ budget that is.
To give Irini some credit though, she does offer some delay for opposing white and green decks, by making their Oblivion Ring and Detention Spheres cost more to cast. Tempered Steel and Ghostly Prison are also affected. As is Journey to Nowhere, Pacifism, Guard Duty, Rancor, and Asceticism. And also Mana Reflection and Mirari's wake. And let us not forget Sigil of the Empty Throne or Privileged Position. Or Blind Obedience, Angelic Destiny, Canopy Cover, Ethereal Armor, Gift of Orzhova, Edge of the Divinity....
... you know what? This card is actually starting to look pretty good, after considering all of the cards it can delay from being cast...
