Sooooo good! Puts the Pelakka Wurm to shame. If you get Wurmcoil Engine for six in any color, this is what you're supposed to get for seven in green.

The "at random" clause makes this card a lot less desirable. I'll probably run two in my casual mono-green stompy anyway.

The creature-returning isn't contingent on the exile. I expect shenanigans with Nim Deathmantle. Sacrifice it to something, put the Deathmantle's trigger on the stack above the Monstrosity's. Pay , get it back, get two other creatures. And you still get the effect from whatever your sac'ed it to (Greater Good, anyone?)
Edit: @Bazzoka - Yeah, you're missing the fact that if the card changes zones, the ability loses track of it. Just like Vedalken Mastermind/Mangara of Corondor can work together to exile a creature every turn, by bouncing it in response to the exile.

@WhiteWizard42 I don't think it would work like that. Sure you'll get it back but then the exile effect will still trigger, rendering the you paid to go to waste. As much as I would like to be able to do this for heavy reanimating, it just doesn't work. Unless, of course, I'm missing something.
EDIT- WHOOP, sorry, I didn't think it would apply to this kind of situation. For some reason it didn't click.

I misread this as returning them to your hand. Now it's even better!

ANOTHER rare bug that's useful. I'm tickled pink. Return my Hornet Queen's back to play? Sounds good.

Combos nicely with Harvest Pyre. It dies? Ok, I just make shure I get the right creatures back.

Excellent curve-topper in Limited, I've been very happy with how this turns out, as a finisher it acts exactly as a big stompy green monstrosity should and finishes games very fast. Even better, the {g}{g}{g} scares a lot of people who are generally hesitant to draft green at the best of times, so it can potentially be picked up later than is really reasonable.
Two cards at random? In a Scion of the Ur-Dragon EDH deck, guess what sort of creatures are in your graveyard.

Compare to Terra Stomper. That extra is big deal, and is probably the difference of a turn to get him out. What kind of decks are you expecting to fight? If they are fast, you want the stomper. If they are counter heavy, the stomper again. This card fits quite nicely everywhere else though. I love cards that thumb their nose at Wrath effects.
Green mostly only returns cards from the graveyard to the hand, while white mostly only returns them to the battlefield. But now there's Angel of Flight Alabaster, Remember the Fallen and this. I think it hurts the identity both colors had with the graveyard.
@ kiseki This argument is senseless for me, because I think that Terra Stomper is overpowered too... ;)

Sorry about the story I posted early about some sick play I pulled in Commander with this. I really felt like bragging about it at the time...
This bug is really good in any deck that can put 7-mana creatures into play reliably. 8/8 trampling body is nice on its own, and the death trigger makes him tricky to deal with. Also, I wonder why I don't see this in reanimator decks. Those normally have a way to put only their big creatures in the grave, and this guy's only problem (lack of protection) could be easily solved with some sac engine in case someone points a Path to Exile towards him.
Another thing no one's mentioned yet is that this guy works really well with Dark Ascension's new mechanic Undying, since you can put the udying trigger on top of this guy's when he dies. Imagine using this with an Undying Evil to return two Vorapedes in a G/B deck!

8/8 Trample for 7 is already excessive.
Reviving two creatures? Wow.

The picture alone makes me give 5 stars. Look at that thing! Gross spiny points sticking out of its back that I can imagine giving it somewhat of a camo according to the background. It's an insect like Vorapede with all of those legs... I first looked at the back of him wondering what he was and got to the head and followed down the protruding weapon. My first reaction was, "Eh, just some bug, not so cooo..... OMG THAT'S A DEER!!!" Then what followed was how that thing got to the deer. Was it lying in wait and that weapon plunged outward or did it rush in like a wurm and take it out? Either way I love that picture and the effect is perfect for Acidic Slime.

1. Use Mulch and Tracker's Instinct to fill your graveyard with big creatures. 2. Use Seance to bring back a Spirit of the Moldgraf Monstrosity. 3. Splash for Fling. 4. ???? 5. PROFIT!

Y'know, Krosan Tusker is one of my favourite cards. It's delightfully fun to build around because of all the little intricacies that it has. Yet the most obvious effect, putting a 6/5 into your graveyard to reanimate or scavenge in some way isn't readily available on creatures. Which means I'd normally have to weaken Domri Rade's drawing power and probably not play Naya. The only other thing that I can find that fills the criteria is The Mimeoplasm, which'd mean I'd have to play UBRG to combine with Domri.
Moldgraf Monstrosity, you're not reliable, you're expensive and I might only have one of you... But I love you all the same.
