i use this in a dragon reanimator deck and it works great.
here is the combo.
second turn play apprentice necromancer third turn play buried alive 4th turn sac the necromancer bring out bladewing, then tyrant of jund and attack with both. end of turn sac bladewing, tyrant of jund stays in play and from now on all dragons you controll gain haste
you should be able to end a game within 6 turns at most.

Use Apprentice Necromancer with Sigil of The New Dawn and have fun! You can return "when it comes into play" creatures or even "tap:" ones and use their abilities, it's a very nice combo.

"two of these and Carnival of Souls. it's not the best combo since you need a fourth card to do anything"
Except lose as much life as you feel like. Not the best win with Near-Death Experience, but maybe the funniest.

Use this on Grave Titan. 2 zombies when you bring him back, then two more when you attack with him all for 3cmc total and sacrifice :)
Use with Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker. At the end of the turn, you get this guy back. And then, if you got back a 1-power dude (Likely, siince you're playing Shirei), that one comes back next turn!

Tell me... Would this work? ...Say you have something like Mortician Beetle or Grave Pact out... Can you sacrifice this guy, bring him back with his own ability, then sacrifice him again and keep doing that for all the mana you have? That'd be pretty cool.
Regardless, he's still a fantastic card.

you could create a loop with two of these and Carnival of Souls. it's not the best combo since you need a fourth card to do anything, but at least it's a cheap, monocolored block constructed infinite combo.^^
Edit: I never said it's an infinite loop, guys :P But you're right nibelheim_valesti, this would at least give this combo some sense...then again, it can neither be argued that it's a block-constructed combo, nor that it's a cheap monocolored one anymore, so in the end we're just left with a pretty crappy Legacy combo^^

No bad target for unearth. And good in zombie decks in general. Also very cheap for reanimation: costs only 3 mana in total, and can in case of doubt chump block or attack.
Turn 2: Swamp, sacrifice Apprentice Necromancer, return Protean Hulk to the battlefield, hit for 6, sacrifice it at end of turn, search for 4x Gravecrawler and 1x Apprentice Necromancer and put onto the battlefield.
Turn 3: Swamp...
And if you're lucky enough to have/draw another Entomb, you could Entomb Anger and repeat this process multiple times within that turn, pulling out your 4x Carnophage, 4x Putrid Imp, any of your 3 CMC zombie lords (e.g. Cemetery Reaper, Death Baron, Lord of the Undead, etc.), your Gravedigger (thus getting back your Apprentice Necromancer instantly) or your Grave Titan.

Consider discarding Demon of Death's Gate, reanimating him, then rite of consumption for an easy 18 health loss to an opponent.
