it seems like red and green decks are always looking for a place to sink their mana, and this looks like it will work fine for that

You can even activate it for 0 to pump a creature in a Stonebrow deck!

This land is absolutely ridiculous. I went 1-2 at the prerelease against the guy who pulled this, and loses were because he drew this thing and the win was when he didn't. Since I didn't have my first strikers or any removal in hand, it steamrolled me.

Ooo, options galore with this one... Make something huge before combat to 'provoke' a block. Swing out and pump the blocked one to kill a blocker and still trample over for damage. Pump an unblocked token for even MORE damage. Or just make an already beefy attacker trample for (uses a ). And that's just offensively (which is typically how should play). All of this repeatable on a land that also can tap for mana and has NO downsides (painlands, into play tapped, etc...). BEAUTIFUL! I'm tempted to say best of the cycle.
This should be an amazing tool for R/G infect. Razor Swine could be particularly good. Goblins may have a reason to go green just to play this with Spikeshot Elder and sink their teeth into those last few points of damage.

This is the card that's going to keep Primeval Titan abusable. Wolf Run will be relevant and stay relevant.
Also, I really look forward to making this play:
"Oh, you Phantasmal Imaged my Inferno Titan? Well I hope you really needed to deal that three damage to the face, because now I'm just going to kill it with my own Wolf Run."

I never even noticed the words "and gains trample" on there and I still thought it was an amazing card. Wow, now that's just crazy. Magpie effects and Inkmoth Nexus Rejoice!

@htgtmd Sorrow's Path would like to have a word with you.
I absolutely love this land. Seeing as all I ever build are stompy decks, usually in red and/or green, this land was a godsend. It makes just about anything you throw it on a beast. Unless your opponent is running a lot of first-strikers, this card can win you the game fairly quickly.

Oh you have a bad deck? Throw in a Kessig Wolf Run. Now you have a good deck.

I have friends that consider this land a bigger threat than anything else in the werewolf deck. You would be surprised at how many people dont know you can use activated abilities like this after blockers have been declared, as it doesnt state 'cast only as a sorcery or instant'.
Amazing land that will stay viable for a long time to come.

Rules question: Is this a green and red ability for this land? I think that this is a land ability and doesn't have a color associated with it. In other words, if you have a vulshok refugee on the field, he is a legal target for this ability, right?

Foil cards have the same artwork, it's just shiny and rarer...
But yeah this is a fine land. Good mana sink and it does provide some targeting if it's needed.

Absolutely brutal land. Since it doesn't have to be your creature it can make multiplayer games very dangerous for others. I like that you can activate it for zero to just give trample if you want to. The art is very average neither good nor bad. More lands with this level of utility would be fun.
@mpit*** I 5 starred your comment because you asked nicely on the Vault printing. =)
And while I agree that this isn't QUITE Vault material? (That would be like picking a land for the Lorwyn year....I mean...yes, a Vivid land would be 'justifiable'....but leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth, right? Non-basic lands are often either trash or stupid great when it comes to Standard. They go well WITH the things that Abuse them but that thing abusing them is going to be the more interesting card, anymore.)
Their hands were kind of tied, though. Sticking a fricking Titan in this? Really? It would be like a horrid monster, like a cross between FTV: Exiled and FTV: Legends. FTV Legends has a lot of cards that....actually a pretty large number of people want....but they mostly are not hard to get either, so barring, I think really only Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre, none of those cards are "surprisingly desired by target audience".
From the Vault: Exiled is full of cards that EVERYONE knows are STUPID (good) and I wouldn't be surprise if they continue to hop and skip up the price charts.
To put an actual full TWENTY "CHASE cards of the year" in From the Vault: 20 would have been insane, EVEN considering that you can stick Hymn to Tourach and Dark Ritual in it and still be pleasing people on a relative 'budget'. We NEEDED at least 5 'filler' cards and just about got 'em.
So they tried to save players as much money as possible. So we got Chameleon Colossus, ImpulseChar and this, which feel un-Special enough to appear in just about anything.
Note: Swords to Plowshares, Fact or Fiction and Dark Ritual have actually ALL appeared in 'mere' Duel Decks, and probably will continue to appear in at least Commander Decks, and yet they are so good they don't fit the category of 'cards that made FTV: 20 Cheaper rather than Awesomer'.
What do all these costs get us? Well, they hit the Jace, Button. :P :)
Last Point: I'm guessing MaRo put a TINY slight amount of pressure to make sure #20 was from Innistrad and not the Core Set or anything else. Which Innistrad set actually DESERVES. The reason it could not be Huntmaster of the Fells was because DFCs would be too awkward/wierd for WOTC to make happen, I think. They probably WANTED to, even, I bet.

Instead of my usual attempts at wit, I'd like to provide some analysis for this intriguing megacycle of lands from Innistrad, namely how said lands fit into the overall design of the block.
Analysis: are the colors of Werewolves in Innistrad. Being the most prolific double-faced cards in the block, Werewolves have a distinct transformation mechanic that checks to see if spells were cast the previous turn during each upkeep. If none were cast, the Werewolf transforms into a stronger, fiercer creature. But if two or more spells are cast during a single turn afterward, the Werewolf transforms back.
What this has to do with Kessig Wolf Run is that it has a spell-like effect reminiscent of Skarrg, the Rage Pits from the old Ravnica block that is not a spell per se, allowing it to support the aggressive Werewolves.
