Remember how everyone thought this was going to be Mother of Runes?

Also, the art is pretty cool, especially since the other art for this card really shows its era. It's actually interesting to see how very few of magic card art shows older women casting anything. Probably comes from the target audience, I suppose.

Much harder for a newer player to decipher this things power-level until they really understand how Draw-Go decks work.

I love how everyone was blatantly ignoring the blue magic coming out of her hands and thought this would Noble Hierarch or Mother of Runes XD

It was really obviously a blue card because whatever the color of her dress or staff, THAT was the color of her magic. This was going to be Something Blue and Wizard-y. Lo and behold! It was!

I don't think anyone expected Impulse because....well...grannies aren't known for being impulsive! :P

Standard has had Forbidden Alchemy and Telling Time recently. So a version of this that looked at three cards instead of four would probably be printable today.

Its like preordain on steroids. x4 of these and x4 of brainstorms would be incredibly powerful.

The blue lighting stuff looks so shopped in afterwards, buh!

For an older woman, she's definitely found a way to retain the shape of her bosom over the years. It was probably in the top four cards.

She doesn't look impulsive at all! She actually looks pretty confident and in no way rushed...

Now the dude in the original art? That guy looked jittery and indecisive! He was definitely about to do something impulsive!
