All it takes is the words "target spell" to make Venser one of the coolest cards that doesn't actually counter ever. The boomerang just sweetens the deal.
Also, the fact that he has an Enters the Battlefield ability instead of a cast one means he comboes with himself(Venser, the Sojourner), amusingly.
Between this and Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir.....there have been some awesome Blue Wizards in MAGIC's past. :3
Enough to get TWO of them into the Vault? from the SAME Block? Different Vaults both now have Time Spiral Legendary Blue Wizards. Now that's impressive. :3
