If only you could base a deck around this. The combo potential is amazing... It works especially well with cantrip instants and sorceries...

the chaos ability is useful in instantly killing a legendary creature. cards that destroy single targets such as terminate and certain land destruction cards will thoroughly rape your opponent, especially if the game lasts a long time, as the longer a game lasts, the more lands they will have played, meaning the fewer they can use to recover from

My opponent played Boomerang with this. I asked him if he was sure he wanted to do that. With an evil grin he said, "Yes," and picked up all his permanents and so did I... Yeah I lost that game...

The only drawback to this is that the spell copying is mandatory for EVERY target it could legally target, so they way I understand it, Terminate = near perfect Wrath of god, Consign to Dream = potentially more dangerous than Worldpurge, and ooh o my gosh can you imagine playing Oblivion Ring?
What do you think? I wonder if you can use this with stuff like Beacon of Unrest, b/c I'm not clear on the ruling for that, I would guess that targeting stuff in the graveyard is "cards not on the battlefield". If so, you can use some "all" destruction spell, then bring everyone's creatures back on your side from EVERY graveyard AND all the artifacts too! Oh wow that would be insane! It'd be like a one turn Lilliana Vess

@The_Somnambulist: Oblivion Ring is an enchantment. Glimmervoid Basin only copies instants and sorceries.

Yeah actually we had originally played it like it was storm and it wasn't until one of our buddies pointed out that the commas in the structure make it so that it can target everything a spell could target, even stuff out of the battlefield. It really is confusing wording to explain that it if an instant or sorcery can have a target it will target every legal target. Altough the ruling says that stuff with shroud also gets targeted...what's up with that? Can anyone explain. Regardless it was a messed up plane and it allowed me to board wipe a couple of times.

If I understand this completely right and cast a Diabolic Tutor I'm getting the impression that I search for my entire deck...

Diabolic Tutor doesn't target a card. I don't think there are any cards that target cards in your library. They are all "search for".
I played Desecrated Earth while on this plane, game over... I am a big fan of this card purely for the fact that it can screw everyone over. Also, I play a black deck with plenty of sorcery cards in it.

I got to play a lightning helix after about 5 turns on the goat plane...yeah, gaining 147 life in 1 turn = giant target on my forehead. Ended up losing that game.

I cast Twitch and drew 13 cards. In conjunction with Mind over Matter I produced over 90 mana and proceeded to roll 12 duds on the die making me unable to cast my lethal Banefire without killing myself. Had to settle for Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre.
@LordCeviche It doesn't say that stuff with shroud gets targeted, the ruling says the first ability, the one that copies the spell, doesn't count cards with shroud or other abilities that would prevent it from being targeted. It doesn't say the shrouded card can be targeted but rather that Glimmervoid Basen doesn't even count it when copying the spell even though its type might match the type specified to be targeted.

Fun to use with Rise from the Grave or any other revival card that won't turn around and kill you.

Shivan Meteor for the sheer laughs? I should think so.
KikiJikiTiki: "...unable to cast my lethal Banefire without killing myself"
The answer is simple: just Banefireyourself. The copies all go on the stack and resolve first, you end up alive and everyone else fries.
Plus? ABSURD amounts of style/badass points. "Oh yeah, I won by Banefiring myself for 89 points."

Ok, the way I read this card, is that if I play Naturalize, and target a card in play, the spell would only be copied for every other enchantment and artifact card in all graveyards? The card says "it's copied for each...NOT on the battlefield."
Does this card count only the graveyard? I didn't see any mention of where you're counting cards from. Do hands count? what about the crap i have in my trade-binder I bring (i know that's a wacky example, but...).

@MANABURNWASGOOD: "it's copied for each...not on the battlefield...the spell could target." It's only copied for legal targets. So your Naturalize wouldn't be copied for any Artifacts or Enchantments in the graveyard or your hand, only the ones on the battlefield.
I really wish there was a spell that targeted cards in an opponent's library, but a quick search suggests there are none. Life's Finale would be very appropriately named if it targeted cards.

The only problem I have with this card is that I tend to build decks that don't include these kinds of spells. Why play Terminate when you can use Wrath of God? Rampant Growth effects don't target, and cards like Hex target too much. If I don't build around this then I tend not to be able to use it at all, or occasionally get stuck with a card that would trigger it and I don't want to because it would hurt me to do so. However, I did once win a game by playing Solemn Offering with Sanguine Bond out, stacking things so the Sanguine Bond was destroyed last. I don't think it killed everybody, but my life total was so high it didn't matter.

I has play two headed dragon with planechase, my teammate miracled blessings of nature on all creatures, then I cast murder. My teammate had 2 knight of glorys, so the pro black helped them avoid the murders. Needless to say we won soon after that =)
@KikiJikiTiki: What you do is cast that Banefire at yourself. The copies are put on the stack above yours, so everyone else gets burned to death before you do.

Play a Chain Lightning (or some other damage spell) then play a Wild Richochet
Not only do you double the amount of chain lightnings you cast, but you can also focus them on a single player/creature
