I was disappointed to see so many cards such as this in the precons. With very few exceptions, one-shot pump spells have no place in EDH, or any mulitplayer format. Play equipment, not Colossal Might.

I don't really understand why they put cards like this in the decks.. They could've reprinted something that actually deserved it.
- TO whoever downvoted scumbling1, you are wrong for doing that. He is right, one-shot pump spells that don't contrip are really bad and you should feel bad for disagreeing with him on that. This should not be in the deck.

I wonder how "one-shot" this is in its deck, though, at least when Riku's actually out. All right, more like two shots at once. (You try doubling the effect of equipment. Only ways I'm seeing at the moment are Sculpting Steel and Phyrexian Metamorph.) But it probably was never expected that you'd use this without Riku's help at all.

I don't think this card is objectively bad, but the "power creep" has kind of pushed this one aside.

Don't tell us we should feel bad, YOU should feel bad for imposing your opinions on us ;)

Holy crap, greg has some problems.
This is a decent card, although I have to say that it's not all that strong in commander.

I think it's a great card, but in EDH, where every draw counts, I'd rarely want to topdeck this.

Pump spells are fine in commander games where you expect other players to attack each other. Giving the infect deck that you know you can easily defeat a little push over the strong control deck to your right is often good enough.

Comparing this to Predator's Strike: for the difference between and , you get +1/-1.

Greg, what is with your vendetta against the 5 best precons of all time? (Well maybe they might be behind Fire & Lightning or Graveborn, but still)

Changing the in Predator's Strike (which already had trample) to a should have done a bit more than just replaced a point of toughness for a point of power.
This card, as it stands, is equal in potency to Predator's Strike, when it should be better due to it's more demanding mana cost. I believe it would be fine at +4/+4 and trample, or +4/+2 haste and trample.
When you consider cards like Might of Oaks already existing at higher rarity with only one colored symbol in its mana cost, it shouldn't be too hard to think of the heights an uncommon or rare pump spell could soar.

Hound of griselbrand+collosal might+rush of blood = horrifying murder.

Just about always worse than Ghor-Clan Rampager, unless you have cards that care about instants.
