Boring. Predictable. Not functional. Belongs in the trash.

I think it would be silly if you cast this card on a creature that didnt have either trample of flying. It's very situational, but when you put it on a creature like Deus of Calamity or Meglonoth, It can be Devastating.

Needs to be an instant. Either way for 6 mana - when used correctly this could mean game over.

Novablast Wurm is a new card being realeased in worldwake

7/7, when it attacks destroy all creatures

+3/3 and double strike = 20 damage

providing they can't kill it in their or your turn

Considering it's basically just a Double Cleave + Giant Growth it should at least be an instant or cost a little less.

I glanced at it and was like "looks decent, why's it rated so low?"

Then I noticed it wasn't an enchantment

Haha, I love playing this in casual, especially on Manaplasm when it grows from an 1/1 to a 10/10 double striker.

Needs to cost less at instant speed.

Potentially powerful still, though.

Turn X: Play sleep
Turn X+1: Sangrite Surge on biggest creature. Nothing to block it, deals double its power plus 6, this is a devastating card even on a 1/1 (8 damage)

This card is one of the best power-up sorceries out there. This card is seriously underestimated.

And besides, this card is made for creatures with TRAMPLE. Apparently people can't see that, or maybe something that's unblockable. It can turn an annoying pest like Phantom Warrior into an unblockable ten damage. Or maybe you people could try putting it on something like a Darksteel Colossus, which will end the game almost instantly.

Seriously people, think before you trash.

@savagebrain- how is it predictable if you don't expect your opponent to be playing this rot? lol

Spreading Seas opponents land. Hit this on Cold-Eyed Selkie. Laugh and draw 8 cards while doing considerable damage.

You guys can balk at this card, but Sangrite Surge has won me many a game. Never underestimate what this card can do for an aggressive deck.

@VoidedNote: The thing is that it is a sorcery, so when your opponent would perhaps use a kill-spell on one of your attackers, you could cast a spell like this on an unblocked creature thereby going in for the kill.

With this casted before the combat phase, your opponent will not use his kill-spell on a more innately dangerous creature but keep it for the one this spell is casted on.

I think you are over-estimating this spell a bit. And use it on Collossus? You will most likely already have the game if he has no answer, so how is this going to help? Winmoremuch?

I think you should follow your own advice when you said "Seriously people, think before you trash".

Certainly not the worst card ever printed,
But there really isn't a reason they couldn't have made it an instant.

One of the few cards in Magic that is inarguably overcosted by FOUR.
Proof:
Giant Growth, G, +3/+3 instant
Assault Strobe, R, double strike Sorcery

@DysprosiumJudas
Aggressive deck? You are playing 6+ mana sorceries not called Titanic Ultimatum in an aggressive deck?
About the card, most of the time it will be outclassed by Runes of the Deus in an on color deck, as runes will makes your Thoctars more than twice as deadly, as opposed to twice as chump blocked. Whoever says to use this on a large trampler is being shortsighted, as large tramplers should be able to win the game on their own, without the need for 6 mana sorceries.

This card is costed perfectly. It single-handedly ends game, along with some trample.
Colossal Might along with this has won me more than a few games. (+14/+5 trample, anyone?)

Underwhelming for a sorcery, would have been powerful but balanced as an enchantment.

@reapersaurus: No. Just... No. Thing is, combining Giant Growth and Assault Strobe would cost you two separate cards. Two cards which you may not have in your hand at the same time. Combining them in one card effectively gives you +1 card advantage and may open up four additional card slots in your deck to use for other cards, not to mention that this combination of effects is actually quite powerful. These advantages are worth an increased mana cost. But to print this card at your price would simply obsolete both Giant Growth and Assault Strobe in a Red or Green deck, and possibly a Green deck that splashes Red or vice versa. It would be, quite simply, what we call borderline broken.

Though I agree with what other commenters have said. This could at least have been an instant.

It's kind of like casting Assault Strobe while you have a Wild Defiance out.

Assault Strobe: Red, sorcery
Giant Growth: Green, instant
Sangrite Surge: 4RedGreen, sorcery

...Am I missing something here? Where did they get the 4? I could understand it maybe costing 2RedGreen, or 3RedGreen if it were an instant, but this is just stupid.

Or, you could use Wrecking Ogre to give your attacker the same boost after going unblocked. And it's nearly uncounterable! And it doubles as a potential creature! Granted, Wrecking Ogre is a rare, so it's not surprising that it's better.

Would be powerful but balanced as an enchantment.
Would be too swingy for an uncommon as an instant.

Sorcery....are you kidding me?..

If only this was an instant.... even at the high cost of {4}{G}{R}, it could win games. As an instant, casting it on an unblocked 2/2 could potentially net 10 damage to the face of an opponent. As a sorcery though, I'll pass.
