I dream of playing this turn 1, then Knight of Glory turn 2 and reveling in my opponent's rage.

Such a sweet little common.

Might make a splash in standard, depending on what RTR brings us.

Please make sure you realize, folks, that he CAN block without a buddy to guide him.
Can't wait to T1 this into T2 Knight of Glory or Aven Squire.

Kills Delver dead, even without tribal support.

I like the idea of strong sideboard cards in creature form.

The best thing about this card is, in my opinion, it can block and kill flipped Delver of Secrets without you playing soldiers.

Sweet in limited. 2/1 flier with quasi-defender is still a solid common for a single W. This bird held down most of the cautious player at my prerelease. Even though I only had Knight of Glory and Captain's Call in my prerelease deck, I still had this guy attaching more than perching.

Turn 1: Plains, War Falcon
Turn 2: Land, Aven Squire, attack with War Falcon for 3.

Where is your Delver, now?

Despite the mechanics bringing back nightmares of Fallen Empires and Homelands, this guy can actually work well.

This reminds me of Glint Hawk. It's the perfect turn 1 play if you plan to follow up with Knight of Glory or Elite Inquisitor.

Exalted makes this card makes this card amazing. My friend and I got fat packs and spit a box, I made a mono white deck about killing or pacifying creatures and my friend made a blue milling deck in spite of pulling 3 Ajani planes walkers. The game went quite quickly.

Turn 1
Me: plains, war falcon
Him: Island
Turn 2
Me: plains, Knight of Glory-attack for 3
Him: Island, Mind Sculpt
Turn 3
Me: Cathedral of War, Aven Squire-attack for 5
Him: Island, Index then Fog Bank
Turn 4
Me: another Cathedral of War (1 from buy a box other from booster) and Pacifism on Fog Bank-attack for 6
Him: Island, Mind Sculpt, Jace's Phantom
Turn 5
Me: Planes, Pacifism on Jace's Phantom-attack for 6 he plays Hydrosurge takes only 1 then quiets

I'm thinking that the low score of this card is due to hate...
I mean the condition is easy to fill-up in a deck.
And even IF the conditions are not meant, a 2/1 flying that is able to BLOCK the opposition for 1 mana is NOT bad.
Easily a 4/5

I like this card a lot. I play this in standard with exalted cards. I've actually done this a couple times: T1 War Falcon, T2 Aven Squire/Knight of Glory, and swing for 3. T3 Pair with Silverblade Paladin and swing for 6. T4 Sublime Archangel, swing for 14...game over.

Thanks to Gatecrash, this bird's power has risen even higher. It's kind of a nut draw, but let me point out that three of these four cards are common:

Turn 1: Plains, War Falcon
Turn 2; Plains/Mountain, Daring Skyjek, swing for 2
Turn 3: Plains/Mountain, Skyknight Legionnaire, swing for 7
Turn 4: Rally the Peasants, swing for 13.

Clearly, this is the faithful companion to Elite Vanguard.
