3 and tap: tap target creature. it becomes chameleon colossus, but better because the boost stays around, untill end of turn. oh yah, and put a +1/+1 counter on it.

What? No, this is for Mycoloth, Protean Hydra, etc. Far too expensive, though.
I use it in a mana fetching blue/green deck with Plaxcaster Frogling, Gilder Bairn, Triskelion and Epochrasite. Triskelion + mana usually equals game over. Remember that it can be used in an emergency to simply tap out an opponent's creature.

Works with Cytoplast Manipulator also. It doesn't require you to put the +1/+1 counter on YOUR creature. It also means you can keep an opponent's creature tapped for as long as it exists. Very versatile.

Use this in a Graft deck, and with a Training grounds in play. The result is gonna be awesome~.
I have it in my Vorosh, the Hunter EDH deck. I don't think I've ever needed to use it, though. The idea is perfect, but there's always some other way I'd want to use my mana, or I'd rather attack again...

Card is too slow and has too high of a cost to be useful. Much better stuff you can have in the deck.

if your going to run the card training groundwould be the ticket because then you only have to pay 1 top the creature and pay "GU"to double t counters it does'nt say you can only double them your turn or once per turn. 3 mana to tap for the counter+doubling the counters great.

I hate seeing Training Grounds being spammed on the discussion page of every card with any sort of activated ability that costs mana, but this card actually IS a good combo with Training Grounds. Because the ability doubles each time and doesn't require tapping, you can quickly get an absurd number of counters on any creature.
Completely useless as far as competitive is concerned but a fun combo for casual.

@Huffy - it only reduces the cost of the doubling ability, because Evolution Vat is not a creature (though you could make it one).

Not tournament deck worth, but still a very fun and interesting card. Not only can it increase the p/t of your guys exponentially, you can even use it to tap down creatures your opponent controls. :)
Result: your Kicked Rite of Replications copies one of your Forest/Elves, which you tapped for mana to power Riku's ability to copy creatures (they might be Ravnica Dual Forests) putting lots of Forest/Elves into play- which are all entering the battlefield as Legend-Rule-Does-Not-Apply Thromoks. Who can each have:
4x^2 counters on them (Doubling Season, Selesnya Plane, Thromok's base ability)
they deal 4x damage thanks to (Stronghold Furnace + Furnace of Wrath), so it's like 16(X^2) damage
there are at least 2 of them if all you did was Riku once, but if you did Ambush Commander/Rite of Replication/Infinite Reflections, there might be quite a lot of them out, especially if you find the right order of abilities to let Riku make lots and lots of copies because you are copying land/creatures. Mirror Gallery is almost no-need-to-mention, but just to make sure...
Oh yeah, and now might be a good time to say I just remembered that another Infinite Reflections + Precursor Golem should work the way you want it to, and if it doesn't, you can just House Rules Errata it to. :p
Anyway, back to doubling things. So Gisela, Blade of Goldnight is fine, sure, but why not go the extra mile, and say 'Avatar of Slaughter'? If you are feeling ballsy, the ultimate enchantment to go with this is Hive Mind
The final damages are......

When you use the artifacts ability on let's say, Fathom Mage, would it be considered putting a +1/+1 on her or is it not putting it on?

@Marcus_ At some point the counters are going to be placed on Fathom Mage so I think you are good. Would be the same issue if Doubling Season was in play.

This would be far better if it just didn't tap the creature.
