win or lose you can giggle at your opponent if you play this.

This is my personal favorite of the "epic" cards. Eternal Dominion is really good, but too expensive. The other ones just aren't that powerful. Plus, it's nice having a huge army of snakes! Just hope that your opponent doesn't have someone like Midnight Banshee, or Crawlspace.

i threw this in a chaos deck and unfortunately, i drew it in a multiplayer game. fortunetly, i had 2 howling mines in play along with a font of mythos, right after someone played a wild fire.
i won, surprisingly.

Don't even think of using this without Seshiro the Anointed or his kids or Doubling Season or a couple of Scion of the Wild. If you don't have something to help your snakes, they will probably just die. That being said, pretty much any of the above combos will win you the game.

This is potentially more epic than it sounds. All you need are:
So, potentially, first turn you play it, and let's say you're at 7 in your hand. You now have 7 7/7 Snakes. Next turn, you get 7 more, so you have 14 14/14 snakes. Then you draw 5. Next turn, you get 12 more, so you have 26 26/26 snakes.
Slap down one Epic spell, then before it resolves, quicken, then put another Epic spell on the stack. By the time one resolves, the other one's already been cast, and is not affected by "You can't cast spells". This has been confirmed by a MTG customer support representative via email.
Someone played this, then I played an Angelic Arbiter. Because he was forced to re-play this spell each turn, he couldn't attack at all. Suffice to say, he wasn't happy. :P

@TomYoung : Angelic Arbiter wouldn't stop your friend from attacking. The Epic keyword ability copies the spell directly onto the stack, without any casting involved. It keeps things from getting confusing since Epic prevents you from actually casting anything, period. In this case, the Arbiter's ability wouldn't be able to stop your friend's horde of snakes from attacking.

Never heard of Epic cards before but one thing's for sure: they are EPIC.
Or, combo the Packleader with something that gets the saprolings up to 3 power, like the earlier mentioned Muraganda Petroglyphs.

Protip: A big part of breaking this involves a Spellbook-like effect.

It's probably a good idea to throw down an Eldrazi Monument before you cast this thing. It's also important to note that you can copy this spell while it's on the stack to get multiple instances of the epic ability during each upkeep. You can also copy the epic copies with activated abilities like Mirari or Nivix Guildmage to get an extra spell, although those copies won't have epic.
@PD2525 Small issue with your plan, here's where it fails. enduring ideal and Endless Swarm, are both "sorcery" cards. meaning once you cast one, you're SOL on casting the other.

If you're casting any of the Epic spells, make sure to use Chandra, the Firebrand first so that 2 keep going off, as the initial copy will get epic as well. This also goes for any other fork effect on the initial casting of an epic spell.

Spellbook and/or Reliquary Tower
Some number of Howling Mines
Coat of Arms

You see where I'm going with this.
Another funny combo, is Allies, with conspiracy

Throw some Doubling Season and Parallel Lives in the mix beforehand (or during if you pulled the "two epics at the same time trick" using this and Enduring Ideal)
Now everything comes out en-mass as self replicating 6/6's
Have a nice day
Attack with the War-Pride, draw a card for each creature your opponent has, and then cast this.

Hint: if you want to copy epic spells, few people are better than Riku of Two Reflections.
