Am I wrong or is this almost useless since it costs 10 and it takes away what's in play?

Two words: suspend and phasing.
Some more: Accelerate with High Tide.

This is really expensive for an emergency redo button.

Well you know when your opponent's life total is 100+, he/she has lots of enchantments and nice creatures in battlefield, when you draw only lands and more lands? this card would be very nice.

maybe when you're playing with 4 or 5 friends at the same time so it would shake completely the game. just a beautiful effect.

johny-tastic card. the blink (old school until end of turn kind), leave play effects, suspended cards, phased out cards...

I actually have a casual deck that revolves around a combo with this and Aeon Chronicler. Makes it fun for me, but everyone else hates it. I'm just glad i found the nitch for this card.

Me and my friends play a lot of multiplayer planechase, and anything that adds to the bedlum is a good thing. Ahh, I can see it now. Everyone laughing and cursing me out at the same time. Would love a couple in my deck.

It states," permanents he or she owns" I have a question, if perchance someone has a Day of Dragons on the field l- does that mean when this spell resolves, tje whole army that was removed with day of dragons returns? or will the player have to shuffle the removed creatures, since he "owns them"

@ monchie13
those cards are exiled, the card says "permanents", thats when theyre on the battlefield.
so exiled cards will stay exiled...

thats why i use it with suspend! suspended cards stay exiled with time counters!

I think I'd rather take two extra turns with Time Stretch for ten mana.

Anyone know why this is banned in edh? Seems worse than Obliterate for Jhoira shenanigans, and worse than windfall/time spiral/time reversal for combo

@monchie: Day of the Dragons will be shuffled but the exiled cards won't. However, this will still trigger Day of the Dragons. Remember all the shuffling happens at one time, so the exiled cards will go back to the battlefield, but won't be shuffled again.

1. Use topdeck fixers (Brainstorm or Scroll Rack) to imprint this and Runeflare Trap onto Knowledge Pool.
2. Cast a couple of cheap instants to get this onto the stack on top of Runeflare Trap.

@NeverendingDream,
The point of the EDH official "banned" list is to take out cards that take away some of the enjoyment in the format. In a format where you start at 4 life, this resets the board with 7 life. If you are running Jhoria, you can suspend a creature with power equal to or greater than 7 to kill someone the turn this hits play since you get to pick the order of play. The second reason is most likely not the reason it is "banned" in EDH, it is not very fun (apparently) to play against in EDH. It should be noted that the EDH "banned" list is a recommended list of cards to be banned in a social setting where not everyone is close friends etc.

Turn 5 Taniwha into High Tide and this turn 6, then swing for the kill. Sure, why not?

Seems like a natural card to run with Jhoira of the Ghitu...her suspend gets around the obscene mana cost AND lets you line up multiple other spells to hit the board after the reset. Searing Wind, say.

Once More with Feeling is cheaper. and unglued unfortunately

It's a Time Reversal that doesn't exile itself, stapled to a Terminus that tucks the entire board and shuffles it away, stapled to Sorin Markov's -2 hitting everyone and dealing 3 extra.

I'm inclined to wonder if this might actually be more powerful than TimeTWISTER. It's 3x as slow...but it seems to be about 5x as much impact on the game.

I would like this and Time Stretch to each get Mythic Rare reprints sometime. Core Sets have recently given us 'Not Quite Power 9' cards as Mythics. Both of these seem worth reminding people of their existence.

Slap this onto the Spellweaver Helix with Raven's Crime to be really unfair to everyone. Except Burn decks.

If you've used High Tide + untappers you can probably cast half of your hand when this hits, leaving you with a board advantage.

Why does this still show as Commander legal?

So... this winds up in your graveyard, right? My inner troll wants to re-cast this with Spelltwine or Sins of the Past.
